While this isn't an HL2:Ep3, or an HL3 announcement, the remake of HL1, Black Mesa Source, has finally received a release date after all these years. More info can be found at http://blackmesasource.com.

It'll be going on 5 years since the release of HL2: Ep2 back in October 07. When it does finally get released, I think this is an appropriate reaction.

Half Life 2, HL2: Episode 1 Gets New Source Engine

Little late to post this now, but HL2 and HL2 Ep1 get the upgraded Source engine that Ep2, TF2, Portal, DoD:S, CS:S (Eventually, update is in beta) uses.

Better late than never considering I posted an announcement about this 2 years ago, sure took Valve a long time to get this update out. :p

Weekend dedicated to Half Life 2 + Episodes

This weekend (June 7-8) will be dedicated to Half Life 2 plus it's episodes. Let's see if you can complete all three games in these two days without using cheats (You know who you are).

Just a nice little thing to show some respect for the the Half Life 2 series, and to build tension for Episode 3 (I also hear there will possibly be a Half Life 3, but that's merely thoughts floating around currently).

All current Source powered games that were not in the Orange Box (Excluding Half Life 2 and Ep 1) will be getting the new Source engine that powers Team-Fortress 2, Half life 2 Episode 2.

Garry's Mod has recently been updated with the new Source engine so we won't be waiting for long now.
