i'm pretty sure he has no plans to make source versions of the expansion packs

and, all of the TFC to Source conversions are LITERALLY named "TFC".
I've never seen any infomation on BS and OP4 ports to Source, including official statements and via dev files.
Valve's Team Fortress was 1997-1998, not 1999-2003, it was changed to TF2 by 1999, then canned in 2002.
You're acting like Valve really gives a ♥♥♥♥ about mods in-general. Plus, another reason was to show GoldSource projects can be easily ported to the Source engine, meaning they were just going to allow people to port the mods if they weren't going to port it theirselves.
Half-Life 2 and the Source Engine were done way WAY before Half-Life Source was done, as far as I can tell, Half-Life: Source started development in 2003 from creation dates in the leaked files.
-3rd.In addition to your stated "Original conversions", at the time, shortly after The HL:S builds were playable, they had planned to port Opposing Force, and Blue Shift also, but was postponed, so as to follow the hl2 Release, After the later Half-Life Source release in 2005, it was rated poorly to people who I guess wanted more than just a port,which I appreciated it.
After HL:S had negative reviews and low sales, they halted all further work on HL1 Expansion pack ports.
heck everyone know's it's as if to this day the buggiest and least updated valve game to this day, seems to only get worse.
In-Conclusion, RIP HLS,HLDM:S,COOP, And Our Demo files, never to be viewed again.
P.S I totally taught more history on HLS than hours of doing searches and website research.

You said "the original plans of Source Conversions were HLS,TFC, CS, and DMC" , But you forgot that it was "Valve:s Team Fortress" at that time, (not a tfc port or any kind of a TF2, but the orignal, 1st, offical "valve's Team Fortress" game (aka BOH) that was a major focus and challenge at that time to get to work on Source1 for a port. It ended up taking too much time, and they never got gameplay and vehicles to work in the new engine well enough, and they then shifted their focus to css and HL2, and later polish up the newly called "TF2", not to mention they would have to remake all of the models again before a possible official release in order to look half-decently modern enough at the time, which by that time , it was more logical in foresight, to focus on the 2 main first release titles which would look much better, and take less time to finish. (CSS+HL2)
-1st) HL:S was released in 2005, not 2004. (don't meant to be picky)
-2nd.)! HL:S wasn't ment to "replace goldsource hl1", there were, and are still, too many mods that would break/have dead mod issues that would be involved if that update would happen.
-3rd) Additionally HLS was one of their initial first goals early-on Mostly overall else, used to test for how portable goldsrc to Source would work out before moving forward on any further development projects.
Also, Uplink isn't on Steam, neither is Day One.
