“You’re tuning Chris.”
“What?” He said, wiping his mouth.
“You’re gunna be one of them soon.” I said looking away. I looked back at him and took out my handgun. “Listen,” I sighed, “I need to kill you…”
“What!” He said, backing up.
“You’re infected and soon you’ll be one of them. Don’t worry though, I won’t kill you now but I will have to soon. But until you turn we have to stay somewhere safe.” I looked around for a hiding spot. I saw a silhouette of a cottage. “Lets head over there guys!”
“What should we do Serge?” Billy said with wide eyes. I knew we couldn’t just ram through them unless… I opened the car door and jumped on the seat. There where at least 2 or 4 yards thick.
“Alright we’ll be able to ram through em.” I said getting back into the car.
“What!” Billy said. I looked at him with a fierce glare.
“I said private we will be able to ram through them. There’s not that many, so get in the car in ram them! That’s an order!” Billy stood there for a moment before running to the diver’s side and getting in the car. He put the gear to drive and rammed through the undead. Their bodies left blood and more on the windshield. Billy turned on the wipers and cleared the windshield. We continued to drive until the undead were out of site.
“What the hell happened Serge?” Angela asked me while Billy went to see what happened to Chris.
“Well… it was a zombie and—“
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, a zombie?” She said as she looked at me as if I was crazy.
“Yes Angela, a zombie.” I replied.
“But aren’t they fictional?”
“Well apparently not… most likely the cause of the government or some big company messing around with ♥♥♥♥ to make a medical breakthrough.”
“Sir… I still don’t believe any of this.”
I gave a big sigh and said, “Well… believe it corporal.”
“Um… sir…” Billy said with a shaky voice.
“What private?” I said as I looked towards him.
“Look…” He said as he pointed towards the forest. I saw more humanoid figures moving slowly towards us on both sides and in front of us.
“What the hell was that?” Chris said while bandaging his hand. I slowly looked at him and said
“A zombie….”
“No Serge look!” He said pointing to a person. I had to squint a bit to see the humanoid figure.
“Come on you guys lets go see why he’s here” I said, exiting the car. When I got close enough I was that he was bleeding. “♥♥♥♥,” I said, “Chris we have an injured civilian here!” Chris quickly went to the man’s side.
“Sir are you ok?” he said when he got to him. The man looked at him and did something that I’ll never forget. He grabbed Chris’s hand and bit it. “♥♥♥♥!” Chris yelled as he backed away from the man. The man slowly came towards us. I quickly pulled out my handgun and aimed got the man.
“The rode’s blocked Serge.” He said, pointing to a fallen tree.
“Is there another way around it?” I said.
“Sorry Serge both side is thick with trees.”
I sighed and then said “Alright me, Angela, and Chris will push it out the way.” I got out the car and headed for the tree. I looked back and saw Chris and Angela coming. I put my hands on it and waited for them to do the same. “Alright guys on the count of three… one… two… THREE!” I yelled as I pushed with all my might. It was lighter than it looked and it slide easily. After we pushed it I went back to the car. When Chris and Angela got back in the car as well we took off. It was quiet for a long time. It soon became dark and while I was deep in thought we came to another screeching halt.
“Maybe rookie,” I replied, “All I do know is that you need to focus on the rode now it’s getting bumpy.” I looked at the dirt rose in front of us and saw what looked like rock and small branches.
“Hey Serge, how much longer?” said our medic, Chris.
“Chris calm down, we should enjoy the ride or Serge will make us run the next mile.” Angela, our navigator, said.
“Yea.” Chris chuckled as he sat back. We sat in silence while I continued to daydream. We then came to a screeching stop.
