I may sound like a Noob for mentioning this but noob is just a word and so it has no affect on my game play here.

I wanted to ask will there ever be tutorials on how to use Unity and all of it's features and not FPS game making...Majority of new devs who try to put out fps games get and rush horrible games to greenlight get horrible ratings.. because they are competing with tripple A titles and nobody wants to see used assets in a stiff fps game when better choices are out there.

I want to make a 2d and 2.5 platformer and I do not see or can find any Unity Tutorials on how to use the Engine that is not Paid and not affordable.

Most people who I have spoken to are just needing to learn a Game Engine, and not targeting a type of game play. I have learned a lot in tutorials on how to use Gamemaker Studio, but nothing really about Unity Game engine...

How are platformers created.. how to use plugins, etc....

I should also add that I have both of the videos here for Unity Tutorials 1 and 2 and hopefully 3, but so far I really do not have a solid understanding of the Game Engine since I am not tryign to create a server and FPS game.
