Looks like links to the GameEx forums have been falsely reported again. You'd think that if a URL had already been reported but was reinstated after investigation that there would be a bit more oversight regarding repeated reports, but ... Nope.

I think that the TROLL that hit the forum also hit us here at Steam by falsely reporting the links as malicious sites. The timing was a bit too close to be considered a mere coincidence.

Well after my grumpy online rant yesterday, it looks like the issue has been resolved. I'm guessing some funny guy probably reported the links as being malicious. Good times! :cfacepalm:

So apparently Steam has blacklisted several URLs pointing to GameEx resources including any links to the GameEx forums as well as to the GameEx site itself. If you're in need of any assistance in that regard, please feel free to PM me, or become aquainted with the intricacies of using Google. :D:

I find it extremely odd that Steam sees fit to block links to a gaming forum, but hey I guess I haven't been blessed with the same infinite wisdom and blind eye for bureaucracy.

At any rate this is just a heads up. I doubt we'll receive much in the way of an explanation, so we'll just suck it up and move along.

As null pointed out there's a time limit on the holiday cards and i know for sure i'll never get the set. So, i have 4 cards that i'll happilly give away to the GE group. Of course if you have any obscure cards you'll likely never use, and i own that particular game i'll gladly do a straight swap! Otherwise y'all can just have them. Holla if i have one you need =)

LOL. I gotta cut the guy some slack though. Before I actually did so, I was hesitant to join in on the whole Steam craze. "nullPointer don't do DRM!," I would say to no one in particular.

Once I actually did install it ... well, it sort of became a consuming addiction!

I work for the Dutch company Fugro though our office is in Northern Ireland.
I was out helping them with a Lidar project in Holland. We rented an a apartment just outside Leeuwarden, 'Camping it wiid' beside De Alde Feanen. We got into a bit of bother because our helicopter was disturbing the birds :)
Headed into Leeuwarden most nights for dinner and drinks and also headed across to Groningen for a night.
All the guy's I was working with were from Leidschendam and apparently you all speak a different kind of Dutch in Friesland... it all sounded the same to me :) so we were all like a bunch of tourists trying to order stuff :)
I always fancied heading back over with my wife for a holiday but never got around to it. I've been to Netherlands 5 or 6 times now and I still haven't seen Amsterdam other than the airport :) Usually I go straight to Leidschendam and maybe get time to go over to The Hague for a night but that's it.
