Outfitting and Shipyard options removed along with a couple of other services. Making room to start loading up on colonisation supplies. If you need access to anything stored on the carrier, transfer to the nearby Bok Orbital should only take a couple of minutes.

OK, but why did you have to drill your desk? Couldn't you just put the controller, you know... on TOP of the desk?

Gave up on actually getting my ♥♥♥♥ together.

Decided it was taking too long to get anything done, I didn't have the patience for it anymore, and that it would be more fun to play with power tools instead.

So I played with a drill, and punch a bunch of holes in my desk instead.

You might be thinking "Funky has lost it", or even just "why?", but I assure you: This isn't as psychotic as it sounds, there's method to the madness...

I now have a quick (ish) setup/release system for my cockpit.

It's not as ergonomic as I'd like, but it's just 2 bolts per joystick. Assuming I keep my desk tidy (don't take that bet, a tidy desk last me approximately 52.4 seconds before it looks like a grenade went off again), it takes about a minute to get the sticks set up or put away.

In other words... I'm ready to fly again. Will be starting prep (reinstalling carrier services) momentarily

There are worse ways to go than that. Actually I can't think of a better way...

That's the bunny. Hoping to actually see it happen this time... Thinking about stopping there long enough to see 2 convergences (at least 8 days). If I remember correctly there's a pristine metallic ring in the system so I might do some mining in between...

I want to get some footage of the collision from low orbit, then another up close and personal on the ground... And if I happen to spawn in to the carrier, inside one of the planets? Even better.

I might actually get my ♥♥♥♥ together this week... Instead of decommissioning the carrier... I'm thinking a short little trip to one of our previous locations might be in order.

I want to see what happens if I park the carrier around one of the Cyanean Rocks... It's not far, couple of jumps in the carrier...

Planetary conjunction is every 8 days (roughly). If I've worked it out right, the next one is on the 23rd... Which we'll probably miss, but you never know... 31st is a more likely candidate though.
