As with most Valve patches for the game, the software (Sourcemod) that facilities the modded features is often broken. This takes time for the problems to be traced, addressed by various authors, be implemented and tested.
In this specific case, the Zombie Character Select plugin was broken due to a 'memory offset' being altered in the Sacrifice DLC. It was updated, recompiled and functionality restored.
Updates often disrupt the server, so please be patient and bear with me as I address these in my spare time for the love of zombies. :)
But I think the server is buggy since the release of the new DLC. When I make a right-click to change infected-class in ghost mode, the whole game freezes and crashes. And when I spawn as what the AI gives me, I often don't have the main attack/ability the class should have (e.g. charger without charge, hunter without pounce-jump, jockey without jump-attack...) .
