I am creating a secretish group of SM devs, coders, mappers, and server owners to think tank info and links to create servers and answer obscure questions. Getting harder and harder to find good info. Is this a good/active place to post questions?

Hello all. I really could use some help getting Metamod/Sourcemod to work with my new TF2 server. I have spent literially 8+ hrs trying to figure it out. Any and all help, tips, teaching would be most appreciated.

PS If that file already exists, just open it in notepad and make sure this is in there.

Go to your addons folder, double click your metamod folder, and create a txt file in there called sourcemod. Open in notepad and paste this in there.

Then go to file and click Save As. Where it says Save file type as, scroll to the top where it says All Types and select it. In file name make sure it's

sourcemod.vdf

You're sourcemod commands and everything else sourcemod related should work fine now.

Your router is most likely preventing you from having people join. If you know how to enter your routers site, then try enabling Static NAT for your computer through the router.

Which enables all inbound traffic to your computer, but would be best to enable it only when you have the server up and disable it when it's not up.

Hi i used the PFconfig to open my port of L4D2... but nobody can join the server....

You need to create one if you don't have one already.

Where it says Configuration, copy and paste that into notepad and save it as server.cfg and place it in left4dead2/cfg.

Edit the server.cfg file to your liking.
