Getting more attack rate allow Sentry to deal more knockback too
having more attack rate also use more ammo for the same amount of damage
it's not useless, it force the engi to use repair node or repair his sentry for ammo

It does mini crit sentry damage. I can turn that off.

Currently, I need a way so an engi can't keep out that weapon all the time. I removed the health drain last Monday. But I need to add a pently back to it. I will be testing if I can apply "remove health on kill". I am curious if sentry kills would count. This might be better then contant health drain.

An engineer 2 (or 3) days ago got to a 25-30 killstreak on payload Millstone at the start of the map (blue side).

Or, can you disable primary weapon like the American gothic do ? When metal reach 0 ?

Nah, that'd still be pretty weak. To give you something to relate to:

Level 1 Sentry: 150 Health
Level 2 Sentry: 180 Health
Level 3 Sentry: 216 Health

Now that I think of it, I have overdone it a bit. But I really want to see the repair node give out more health. Doubling the repair amount seems like a decent thing to do.

Maybe, reduce the heal when turret is shootinng or hit, in combat more for 2 second
Heal 20 by second out of fight and only 5 in combat mode

I have to admit though, the repair node is very useless.
A level 1 sentry has 150 health, and a level 1 repair node would repair 10 hp every 2 second for it, meaning it would need 30 seconds to fully repair a level 1 sentry, in which time the enemy would have plenty of time to destroy it.

And even if it was a level 3 repair node, it would still take a good 16 seconds to fully restore a level 1 sentry's health.

My suggestion:

30 HP regen for a lvl 1 repair node per 2 seconds
40 HP regen for a lvl 2 repair node per 2 seconds
50 HP regen for a lvl 3 repair node per 2 seconds

And how can someone destroy it ?

Rocket wont be able to kill a lvl 3 sentry with 4 rocket
Sniper wont be able to do anything (they need 5 bullet with the actual repair node)
Melee... Impossible
Bullet.... Impossible
Sapper wont deal enougth damage, just have to protect the dispencer ton save building

Its true that the repair node is useless
Multiple way exist

Double the heal

Increase the range and a bit the heal

Give him offensive stats like +25% attack rate / charge rate for dispenscer/teleporter

Or ugrade nearly buildings by 5 every 2 second (need 40 second to lvl up)

Maybe heal player but no ammo, or only ammo

Maybe imrove the Wrench itself ?

Repair node and Amplifier have only "buildings stats"
lets give them a use

Amplifier
(+) re-deploy a carried buildings is 50% faster
(+) hauling buildings don't slow movement
(-) marked for death while hauling buildings
(-) use 5 metal by second while carrying a building
(-) no random crit

"time to follow the offense !"

Repair nods
(+) on kill : drop a little heal box
(+) on ally hit : heal them, use 50 metal to heal 50 HP
(-) -50% repair rate (repair node will repair for you)

"time to heal them... by myself"

Maybe you can do better, but these 2 weapon needs model AND stats

Amplifier give mini-crit while in-build mode
this early buff can be unfair

The Sentry booster stop cost ammo after a certain time, idk why
but it come back after death

Going to resuply in spawn destroy your Amplifier !
Sad for engineer...

Other big bugs on Amplifier, he can give mini-crit before be build
and Repair nods stop give ammo at lvl 2/3 but still give to you at lvl 1

I guess your right, but using the gunslinger code could help to fix it
