Rly man? Yes you need it. Its called ctf2w (custom tf2 weapons). With that meaning. You need the plugin that allows you to take this custom weapons becuz there is no weapons from this plugin in the real game.

Actually, all you dl when you join the server is the models, textures, and sounds. All the logic for the weapons is handled by the server. I'm now imagining what would happen if servers could download/execute plugins to players *shudders*
