Coda UDK 1.3 released

Our new master server (built from scratch by Krussell) has been performing flawlessly for this last week, the first week of public Coda UDK play.

The new version fixes several minor issues, and introduces new sword combat mechanics which should help newer players get into the action faster. Experienced players will have a few new tools to work with as well. This is the most refined gameplay Coda as ever seen! Make sure to check it out!

Coda Released for the UDK!

Coda is now its own standalone game! Download the latest Beta now!

Krussel has done an amazing job creating a master server for Coda from scratch, so players will be able to host and join online matches just as they could for the UT3 Mod. This is a small release aimed at testing the master server.

Check out the rest of the gameplay Video Tutorials! Keep in mind that these videos were made with the UT3 version of Coda, so certain parts will be out of date.

Coda's maps have been reworked to take advantage of Epic's most recent improvements to the Unreal Engine, including LightMass. Sword collisions are now more accurate than ever, with improved balance between different sword types.

Coda v0.4 Released for PC & PS3

First of all, huge thanks to Epic for their decision to make Unreal available via the UDK. Most of the teams involved in the MSUC had the Unreal license as their prime goal, and now the opportunity to distribute their hard work as a standalone is available to everyone. While I can promise this will be the final iteration of Coda as a mod for UT3, Tony and I will be looking into where the UDK can take us in the near future…

CodaMod v0.4 features a ton of new weapons (props to the amazing jimbos for many hours of modeling work), brilliant new sounds (thanks to the great Roland Shaw) and many game play tweaks. Its a solid release for the MSUC Grand Finals! We’re in the running for Best Art, Best Physics, Best Level and Best Non-FPS Game Mod. Check out the images in our gallery.

As before, CodaMod is available for both PC and PS3 versions of Unreal Tournament 3.

Coda v0.2 Released for PC & PS3

We are happy to announce the release of Coda v0.2 for both PC and Playstation3 versions of UT3. This is a solid release that the Coda team is very proud of. The main focus of this release has been balance, polish and responding to comments from the community. We have also released a Trailer for this version of Coda. Coda Beta v0.1 available for PC and PS3

Coda, previously available only for PC has now gone Beta! There have been some exciting changes, including the addition of PS3 support. Get the latest version at {链接已删除} or if you already have Coda run the auto-updater from your Start Menu.

Among the new features for this release is the addition of some simple bots and by poplular demand mounted sword combat from the Coda Mule complete with all the normal Coda sword combat mechanics such as stuns, clashes and whiffs.

Coda v0.0.700 Released

Coda, featuring French and Spanish localization, has been released just in time for submission into Phase 3 of the Make Something Unreal Contest! Coda features a unique gameplay system which combines sword fighting and magic attacks with thrilling taiji jumps. Detailed instructions on how to play Coda can be found in the Coda Online Manual at http://wiki.codamod.com/How_to_Play_Coda .

You can find coda at http://www.codamod.com/downloads or at Moddb.com at http://www.moddb.com/mods/coda/downloads/coda-alpha-00700. The file you will need is CodaSetup_Alpha_0.0.700.exe. If your copy of UT3 is retail (not Steam) patch it first with the version 2.1 patch which is also downloadable from the Coda release page. If you need more help getting started, detailed instructions can be found on the Coda Wiki at http://wiki.codamod.com/Installing_Coda

If you already have Coda, first take a moment to feel special, then make sure you run the auto-updater in your Start Menu to get the newly released version. Coda's still early in its development so it's important to always run the auto-updater before playing as the Coda team will be working hard to add features and fix any bugs.
