ManaRocks

ManaRocks is a promising new fantasy tactical card combat game that promises easily accessible modern CCG gameplay with all the depth of the classic CCG’s.

Playable in 1v1 or 2v2 battles, ManaRocks allows players so combine cards from six different mana types to allow for a near-infinite number of possibilities. It’s set in a high fantasy world where greed for power has caused conflict and division, creating six separate forces of mana that you’ll be able to harness and use during combat. It features advanced mechanics such as Blocking and Sneaking that allow your creatures to take defensive or offensive positions and get the drop on your opponents.

It’s a fun looking tactical card combat game with slick visual design, a nice selection of cards and promise of deep tactical gameplay.

Well it´s "kinda"
like Hearthstone with "colors" instead of classes.
Even has a graveyard (Yu-gi-oh?).
Looks quite promising. Building upon the tried and true Hearthstone formula
and improving it, isn't a bad thing at all imo.

I get that there's not a ton of creative space left with online ccgs,
but the game just looks like budget hearthstone.
They also straight up copied ball lightning from MTG with "fire ball" or whatever the card was called.

The art even looks similar?!.

From what I saw in the video the game seems to suffer from the same problems hearthstone does,
in that playing on curve minions is usually the best play, which is what happens when
direct attacking is a thing.

We shouldn´t forget that this game is still under construction! So I'm willing to give it a chance as
I think it's got some good potential also (imo) I like direct attacking and
I think the power influence system is pretty interesting!

So most people seem to dislike this game "because it's too similar to Hearthstone",
but it seems to me like it's taken MtG and HS and tried to take the best of both worlds!!

All I can say is that you should give this a try when it gets released!

Overall for now I would rate it in the midrange (Beta-Status) 6.5/10
