But to answer your question, yes. I have been in full posses a couple of times and generally play with three or four people going after challenges together. These are composed only of IRC users 90% of the time.

@Captain: It ends up being really difficult to form games without pretty involved commmunications. I strongly recommend you start using IRC to meet people and get playing. It makes a huge difference.
