Lol good, keys are at 7+ now:D If you want keys down spend your life savings of real money on keys, and sell them for 2.55, because after all, 2.55 ref is the same as money right?;) You will have lost nothing. Basically if you aren't willing to do something yourself don't expect others to do it for you. Anyone in this group is free to sell as many keys as they can for 2.55. But you are just hoping some "sucker" will sell one to you instead. Keys are expensive because its linked to money, refined is worthless because people get it for doing basically nothing, and more and more of it builds up, more items are uncrated, more promo, more drops, more inflation. As long as people don't have to pay money for refined, there will be inflation. So just be happy metal is free;)

the price of the keys doesnt effect me at all

I joined the group to be supportive, but I honestly don't care. Key prices don't affect me.

I make profit by buying various items for a key each, and reselling for 1 key + 1, 2, or 3 ref (depending on the item). I ONLY accept pure refined at the rate of 6 refined per key.

All in all, I don't really care what the price of keys are.

I DO, however, have a problem with people who post trades that buy keys for 2.33 or 2.66 ref.
You people seriously say "Don't buy keys from those greedy people who are selling them for actual market value, sell your keys to me for HALF OF THE CURRENT PRICE! Trust me, it'll totally make the key prices fall down; I'm not the greedy one."

Bring keys back to 2.33 ffs; the whole key price raising thing is stupid.

Before you go and say "Well keys aren't going up ref's just going down." let me explain:
If ref were going down in price then craft hats wouldn't be 1.33 anymore now would they?
Also if ref were going down everything else's price would be going up.

I JUST GOT AN IDEA! (plz dont make me feel bad or stupid, i think it seems like a good idea, and maybe, just maybe, itll work)


if we all get a whole bunch of keys!! like tens, maybe a hundred or more total, and we put them up on backpack.tf over the span of a week for only 2.55 then after about the fifth day, we make a suggestion/vote for keys to be back down to 2.55 or atleast somewhere near that goal, then maybe that could work! because even if we get a vote and the majority agrees with it it would probably be closed without the exmples of unsold keys for their current prices.

There is a vote going on on BACKPACK.TF right now to RAISE THE VALUE OF KEYS! Obviously... U should all vote against it

The problem here was, the Ruhr was the main area for German resources and therefore Government income, and the workers were actually still being paid. So Germany needed more money, but taxing was unpopular. So more money was printed. And more. And more. The currency of Germany Devalued as there was more of it! Of course they fixed this by bringing in a new currency worth (for every 1 Rentenmark [New Currency] it was worth 1 trillion Marks [Old Currency]).

So the TL/DR version; we need to get Valve to remove ALL metal and replace it with a much smaller supply of a brand new item for crafting. An easier thing to do would be to start actually USING the metal as it was intended! Craft with it! Don't buy hats with the 3 ref you have, MAKE the hat! Get rid of the metal without trading for it! Don't buy craft hats at ! ref, buy them at the actual hats Pricelist Value!

It is not impossible to get it back to 2.55, but not easy. We are just suffering from inflation due to an over abundanceof metal floating around. History Time; the same thing happened to the Weimar Republic (Germany between 1918 and 1933) with Hyper Inflation. During the Ruhr Crisis when the French invaded this area of Germany to take what resourse Germany owed her in War Reperations (Debt for losing the War) as Germany had refused to pay the resent instalment due to lack of funds. Now, Germany didnt want her own Honour stamped on again, but she couldnt fight France as that would restart the Great War, so the Government began Passive Resistance in the Ruhr; the workers would not work for the French.

5.22? It's 5.66 now, so sad.
