Yeah just one problem with the whole agenda, it won't work. So long as the company makes 300 sales which they surely will the game paid for itself concerning the data copying onto a cd, along with the case and cd art is only $0.15 and they rev the price up and charge you $60 for the whole game, they won't need to care about a silly boycott that will wear down regardless in the end. Not to mention custom mod tools and then the eventual release of the Dev SDK that will make this group a sad redundancy. Sorry to put it this way but just stfu and wait, good things will come from the BF team soon enough.

(And for the morons SDK isn't a steam term it means Software Developement Kit....so yeah)

Can we please remove the "No innovative gameplay" reason? It's absolutely unnecessary and false. The game has many, many, many more features than BF2 will ever have thus rendering that reason completely void (I played the alpha and can speak from personal experience if you want to fight about it). And no I'm not a hater, I'm already a member of this group.

There are still like 2 months until the game releases. There's plenty of time for BF3 to come to Steam. Don't worry guys, Valve is an affiliate of EA. There's no way they'll let BF3 slip through their fingers.

The only reason they would scan your hard drive is if a game doesn't work on your computer. They would scan it and see what program is conflicting with the game. Other than that they wont scan it. And also, just because it says the can doesn't mean they will.

If you read it properly, you'll see there's a significant difference in what they're saying. EA one is essentially saying, "You sign away your rights to privacy on your hard drive" and the Valve one is saying, "You sign away your rights to privacy on your hard drive in relation to Valve products." There's a world of difference.

As spotted by the canny denizens of the Escapist forum, there is a quite extraordinary clause in the EULA of EA’s new game service, Origin. One that may well make you think twice about letting the software on your PC. Nope, I'll buy the BF3 the first day. It's gonna be the best game I ever had, certainly. If it won't be on Origin ( impossible ) I'd like it pure clean as diamond. Not on Steam either. Steam + Origin same crap.

I was siked for BF3, until i saw the origin requirement, they completely blew any chance of me purchasing the game.
