People should not be surprised about the subscription. It's an MMO, look at the majority of big title MMOs, most require a subscription. Plus it's cheaper than most, has more options, and if you are buying time it only uses time when you're playing, not when you're customizing.

I think its stupid to have to "pay to play". I would be a must buy if they didn't have that and now its a maybe. Plus compared to xbox live which is $50 a year this is $10 for 1 month.
