We would like to sadly announce that Wreck It Rust will be closing down as of the end of this wipe. The official ending date will be 02/09/2021.

It is with great sadness that we end the legacy of Wreck It. Spoon and I have both invested many years of time and effort into the building of our community, and we're proud of how far many of you have come. Those who moved on from Wreck It, those who stayed the entire time, those who left and returned. We're grateful to all of you for helping us achieve what we were able to with Wreck It.

There have been years of memories I'll hold dear to me, all the events, the memes, mocking the terrible builders, and people stuck in honeycomb, teaching noobs who went on to have hundreds or thousands of hours, watching the success of some of our players on bigger platforms. There were plenty of bad times I think both Spoon and I have grown from, and learned a lot from. There were times when we were frustrated and lost our cool and wanted to give up but we powered through. It kills me to see it go, but I'd not change any of it. I loved having Wreck It as a part of my life and I will always carry a part of it with me.

We are so glad to have met many of you, we have made many friends over the years, and we're so grateful to have you all.

6-Man Group Limit starting on the wipe commencing 04/03/2021

We have now reintroduced the group limit on Wreck It Rust to be a maximum of 6 in a team, this means you will only be able to have a maximum of 6 players in your team, authorised on your tool cupboards, and authorised on your doors. We are using an admin plugin that will enforce this.

We are allowing allies, as it's important to us that people continue to use Wreck It Rust as a mostly friendly and chilled out community foremost. Making friends is important in Rust and in real life and we want to encourage that in our players.

You may roam and raid with allies but we ask that you keep roam and raid groups to 6 players or under.

Slaves are allowed so long as they do not live in your base, slaves will need to have their own slave base to operate out of.
Noob Towns are allowed but you will need to have your own bases within the town.
In the cases of both slaves and noobs, the 'compounds' cannot be entirely walled in together, mainly because only 6 people will be able to use the gates, but additionally to stop bigger groups trying to get around the rules by having multiple bases in one compound and still operating as a 7+ group.

New IP Address

Hey all, I know this announcement is going out a little late but it's been a bit of a hectic couple days dealing with the change over.

We had planned to swap hosts when we wiped for the new month (04/04/2021) but due to issues with severe lag for the majority of players we chose to move it forward and swap hosts now.

The server will stay the same, as in there is no wipe, all bases, loot, teams, blueprints and the map itself will still be the same as it was, all that will change for the player is there will be a new IP, and you will need to set up Rust+ again if you use it.

The new IP is: 145.239.255.65
The TeamSpeak IP will be the same as above.

The old server has been wiped but is still up with announcements in chat telling people to join the new server, the title of the old server also says that it's the old server to help with any confusion.

The new server's name has slightly been changed. We have removed the 'monthly' and 'vanilla' tags only because Facepunch has added the ability to have tags that show independently of the title which will help with search criteria. We have readded the 'Noob-Friendly' tag as this we have always seen Wreck It as a chill server which is good for new players to learn on, which is also why it's only a 100 slot server, and a big map.

Hey all! Hope you have all had a good, and more importantly, safe, Christmas and New Year!

The first wipe of the year will be here soon, more specifically the wipe will be happening in 10 minutes at 7PM GMT.

To those of you that have stuck with us through the years, and will be coming back for the first wipe of 2021, I just want to say thank you for all the support over the years, and for this new year. We look forward to having you back.

Hello friends and loved ones!

Wreck It Rust has now wiped for this month, at 7PM 01/10/2020

Full BP and map wipe.

The map is 4k, so a tad smaller than recent wipes, and we're returning to monthly wipes, as we feel this is where we are most comfortable.

This month we will be holding a very special Halloween Gauntlet, keep an eye out for announcements either here or in Discord if you want more information on that.
