Examples of new durability:
Hatchet ~20 hits = 1 Durability lost
P250 Pistol - 24 rounds fired = 1 Durability lost
M4 Assault Rifle - 24 rounds fired = 1 Durability lost
The same also applies to armor.
Thanks for your feedback and yes indeed the default rust durability is garbage. I rather have items still break and not be 100% invincible.
