Got it 2day, was watching Jacksepticeye play it and then got it:steamhappy:
Sozii 4. Jul. 2016 um 11:54
It has been a while, wish you the best, in whatever you are doing.

(I wouldn't know. Ahh, the nostalgia and how much I've changed. Looking back on it, I had waaaay to much enthusiam, probably should have cherry picked my best advice since I was just writing whatever came to mind.)

Probably still hard at work on GTGD XD
Gamer To Game Developer 27. Apr. 2016 um 18:20
Thanks eXi :), yeah a game only gets released once so it has to be totally awesome to stand out from the immense crowd
Cedric 26. Apr. 2016 um 21:46
Take your time and don't let people rush you. Comment section can get harsh sometimes.
You have a good base and nice ideas. Focus on the Series and then extend the game (:
It's a good way you are taking and maybe you even learn ways to improve the performance :D
Gamer To Game Developer 26. Apr. 2016 um 16:41
Long time from now (a year +). I'm still develpoing new systems for GTGD S3 and when they're all done I'll use them in Weekend Drive. At the moment I don't believe I'll be releasing Weekend Drive any time this year. There's a massive amount of work I need to do on it before it is even ready as an early access title.
BigHeck 25. Apr. 2016 um 23:34
When is this game coming out!?!?!?!

I don't get what the below message from NoobSucker360 is about or if it is related. Anyone know what it is? My first impression is that it is spam

Thanks Hibby and for posting some more ideas! Working away with full momentum on my GTGD S3 tutorials at the moment (coming to Steam early to mid March)!
Sozii 14. Feb. 2016 um 8:08
I had no idea Jacksepticeye did a video on this game. It holds so much potential, it's already fun. Anyways, it's been awesome watching this game slowly grow. I look forward to the future and the next mystery gamemode. Cya dev.
Chaplad 19. Jan. 2016 um 17:34
Thanks for the answer dev! Looking forward to those other game modes!
Gamer To Game Developer 19. Jan. 2016 um 15:49
Hello, no the game modes with full environment destruction such as Nazilla and Meteorite Drive will always be very demanding on the PC. No optimization is available for that beyond what I've already implemented. Yes you really do need an i5, and a more powerful graphics card like a 390. I don't think an i3 will cut it. There will be other game modes coming where a much more oridnary PC will be fine because there will be minimal environmental destruction and I can take advantage of the usual techniques for reducing overhead.
Chaplad 19. Jan. 2016 um 3:08
Just want to ask something dev, This game absolutely destroys my pc, my laptop is pretty weak yes, but really I tried the lowest resolution and lowest graphics and still sometimes I got 5 fps when Nazilla is in the middle of the city, Is this going to be optimized or will it be high demanding forever? I'm building a computer right now with an Intel i3 4150 and r7 370 with 8gb of ram, will that be enough or do you really need an i5 for it? But absolute a fantastic job on the game :)

this looks amazing
Gamer To Game Developer 24. Nov. 2015 um 16:31
Thanks tinyminer! Please have patience with me people! I do a day job and I'm currently rolling out my GTGD S3 tutorials. Once complete in Feb-March 2016 I'll be able to devote my free time to Weekend Drive and there are many game modes I've imagined beyond the list which is totally out of sync with my mind :)
BigHeck 24. Nov. 2015 um 3:04
Awsome :D
Cedric 10. Nov. 2015 um 21:01
Awesome (: keep going!
Gamer To Game Developer 10. Nov. 2015 um 15:38
Thanks eXi, yeah I noticed that. It made quite a boost to the indieDB ranking :) no.2

In a week or so I should have a roadmap video out so that my development time and projects become a lot more transparent.
Dolan 30. Sep. 2015 um 7:38
The boost thingo, NOS is what it's called in real cars
Gamer To Game Developer 26. Sep. 2015 um 16:53
What is an NOS?
Dolan 26. Sep. 2015 um 16:38
You should have the NOS regenerate over some time or distance.
Sozii 15. Sep. 2015 um 7:14
I take no credit for anything someone else says, I just try to add upon it. Its your idea so you should get credit, I merely contributed ideas for the game based on yours.
popcron 15. Sep. 2015 um 3:46
but in all honesty, the multiplayer will be very fun, having an early access to the multiplayer would be very cool.
popcron 15. Sep. 2015 um 3:44
thats not fair, hibbyhub, you won the prize even though you just took my idea (versus mode) :P, oh well, congratz.
Gettin_Jiggy_35_雨雪 31. Aug. 2015 um 21:21
I think it'll be really cool for Nazilla to interact with the environment more. For example you can shoot raycasts out from his arms to the sides and if it hits a building, play a smacking animation that make it look like Nazilla is crushing buildings out of his way to get to the player. You can do the same thing with his feet just instead make a stomping animation. This addition will make Nazilla, the center piece of the gamemode, seem much more alive and increase the chances of Nazilla hitting debris into the player.
orange 31. Aug. 2015 um 19:49
The lag spikes happened really ocasionally and the rest of the time it goes constant 60 fps even with the Fantastic configuration, so I'm fine :steamhappy:. I only did get stuck in a certain area of the map, i think it was in the sidewalk near the militar base of the right side of the city, and it happened twice, one when I was jumping off the truck and the second just walking randomly. This might need further testing.
Gamer To Game Developer 31. Aug. 2015 um 16:56
Thanks for the feedback marc77 I'll add it to the table. As for lag spikes and getting stuck in the ground it means that the computer doesn't have enough power to run this game mode. In future game modes such as DriveZ I'll have only a partially destructible environment (fences, etc.) so that it's more accessible to more players. Unfortunately I'm out of optimization tricks for Meteorite Drive and Nazilla so that's why I've recently classed those game modes as only suitable for gaming rigs.
Sozii 31. Aug. 2015 um 7:21
Hey marcs77, im no not the developer but I can help you, I think, for now.
-I think the blueballs were left in the help with testing, its made to help you beat it easy and find bugs. (Personal preference here, I like them in becouse you dont HAVE to use them and if he ever made a score system, using the balls should turn of your score)
-Yeah, it always spawns you on top of the truck. Best thing is to stop moving first, then exit. I never got stuck IN the ground. That should help till fixed.
-The game lag spikes for me too.
orange 31. Aug. 2015 um 5:25
Also, if you run leaving the truck behind, when you get really far, the scene restarts. Is that intended or is it a bug?
orange 31. Aug. 2015 um 5:14
PD: In meteorite drive, you should remove the ability to shoot that blue balls, you can even beat the game going forward while spamming the fire button XD. It seems like you were testing something and you forgot to remove it :steammocking:
orange 31. Aug. 2015 um 5:13
I have played the Nazilla gamemode and its quite fun, but there are somethings that you should improve/fix/implement:

1) When you get out of the truck, you appear inside the truck and sometimes I got stuck in the ground and I couldn't move :( . Please fix this asap.
2) The sprinting speed is faster than nazilla's speed and it doesn't have cooldown.
3) Sometimes there are some really big lag spikes, I don't know if it's something on my end or if it happens to other people.
4) When you drive towards an ammo waypoint, at first you can't see the militar base but when you get closer it suddenly appears.
6) Place something to prevent you from going away from the city, because it's much easier to go off-road.
7) It would be really cool if nazilla had weak points, like the head or the chest or if you hit him in the legs he goes slower for a short time, or something like that.

And that's it, this gamemode has a lot of potential, I'm looking forward to see more :steamhappy:.
Sozii 30. Aug. 2015 um 12:08
Oooh, I like the versus mode idea, could go like this:
-Ammo, flags(objectives), and 4 bases are spread around.
-you could shoot others, get flags for points, or steal others flags in a time limit.
-Shooting a cars with multiple rockets destroys it and they respawn.
-If there is a tie, lets see who survives nazilla.
Nickelbottom Bootsplash 30. Aug. 2015 um 12:04
I feel that the Nazilla gamemode has the easiest to see potential at the moment, so some feedback there:
1) I found myself being able to outrun Nazilla for quite some time after he gobbled my truck and it gave me plenty of time to find all the ammunition. I feel that increasing his speed to the point of him outrunning you much quicker will increase tension.
2) I also think setting it at sunset where his shadow reaches further will help with tension too. 3) Another idea is to have Nazilla's voice echo.
These are all minor tweaks but I feel that making it a more thrilling experience with this massive monster will help improve it once the game gets further into development, thanks for reading.
popcron 27. Aug. 2015 um 13:35
I think this would be great with a versus mode in it, for up to 4 players. Also the minigame kind of game style you got is very nice.
Gamer To Game Developer 27. Aug. 2015 um 5:08
Thanks AA and welcome to the group!

Sozii 24. Aug. 2015 um 6:15
Fancy, its all fancy.
Gamer To Game Developer 21. Aug. 2015 um 3:45
Thanks LordApricot! @marcs77, yup I'll be doing some of those but I haven't implemented them yet. The player won't have health it's just insta death if Nazilla gobbles them up. It'll become too hard if the player can get killed by falling building pieces and so on, because there's just heaps of that! The actual map will be very different from this one, I was just using the meteorite drive level but the Nazilla level is going to be quite different once I've built it. There will be two military bases where the player has to go to get rpg ammo and they'll have to go to both bases to get enough.
orange 21. Aug. 2015 um 1:54
Hi GTGD, I'm really hyped about this game, particularly about the new Nazilla gamemode :D. I I have a few little sugestions:

1- You should make the Nazilla health meter bigger and centered, so that it's easier to see.
2- Something that might be fun is to place pickups(ammo, medkits, other weapons, temporal upgrades or something like that) all over the map, maybe the most valuable ones could be kind of hidden.
3- A gamemode similar to the Meteorite Drive, but you have to finish without being damaged, or with very little damage
4-I don't know if you have already fixed this, but I have noticed that the bottom of the fire hydrant isn't modeled and when it gets hit you can see through.

And that's everything :steamhappy:.
Cookiemass 20. Aug. 2015 um 19:59
WoooooWI have seen the video for 0.04 and I love the idea haha. AMAZING! I hope you to program that AI soon!

Gamer To Game Developer 15. Aug. 2015 um 19:47
I'm aiming to have version 0.04 ready in about 1 and half to two weeks. It'll be bigger than meteorite drive and totally awesome :D
Cookiemass 15. Aug. 2015 um 17:54
