Turns out he just removed and blocked me like he does with everyone he doesn't want to contact anymore because they annoy them. Legitimately sad that he didn't have the balls to tell me why he did this to me.

Typ, if you're reading this, I'm glad we met in CS:GO by trolling, I'm glad we spent time together on moonbase alpha and dota 2, I'm glad that you exist. Don't go around telling everybody that you want to die. I don't want you to die. You were a significant person in my life, even if we didn't know each other that well.
