It was so long ago.

The elves with their enhanced magical abilities and the dwarves with their superior grasp science and technology, two mer races made a pact to explore and share their knowledge. The dwarves tunnelled deep into the earth and the elves explored the galaxy. Only men remained on the surface, ignored by both dwarves and elves alike.

Until they grew stronger. Soon, mankind's power to wage war surpassed that of the dwarves and the elves alike. They were becoming a threat to the mer.

The dwarves reached out to their elven brethren, calling them back to the earth. They had always been allies, and they had to work together to eliminate the growing danger. As men worked ever harder to destroy and pollute their domain, the dwarves and elves worked ever harder to combat their unknowing enemies, unseen and undercover.

So who was really behind 9/11? Yes, you guessed right. Normal, man-made jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough, but when you infuse elven magic into dwarven jet fuel, you have heat enough to melt the strongest steel beams.
