Uh, bloof, Cuba is totalitarian as ♥♥♥♥. At least it was last time I checked. Which was in the ninties.

Socialism necessitates heavy government intervention - communism, as an extreme form of socialism, requires a totalitarian government to perform the invasive price fixing and wealth redistribution that the communist system is based on.

China isn't that free. Alothough they have improved (since the Great Leap Forward, say) they are still pretty strict.

Well communism isn't strictly totalitarionist. Cuba is a communist state and it has none of that kind of thing. (Ok maybe a bit, but not that much)
