oh damn my bad gangsta i didnt realise there were no official pvp servers left, rip in peace, was playing on a community server i found which had the name uber upgrades but that was only on the orange map and last night i realised something was def off, didnt realise it was an unofficial remake

hi i havent played uber upgrades in a long time but i remember there being much more upgrades and choices and stuff, whatever happened to that? like as soldier you could make your rocket launcher shoot 1 really slow but really big rocket, it was in a seperate category of upgrades with upsides and downsides and every class had their own unique special upgrades they could choose, also you used to be able to mass buy upgrades is that still a thing and if so whats the command?

Not sure where you got your information from, because I literally pay extra per month to have that disabled. You might have been trying to connect on the day that there was a power outage. My battery backup did not work right that day, but at least I have a different one now.

i used to play these servers all the back in like, 2014? 2015? i don't play tf2 much anymore, but this server might make me want to come back to it...

Well, source engine is "old fashioned" which has it ups and downs
-we struggled "a little" with custom UI / HUD but we re good with it now
-we have access / can modify server,client, but not engine (for example max net entities(2048-4096) is still to be worked around)
-there might be many ways to promote mod (from steam page addons/mods to regular promotion)
-- a lightweight version of mod on regular tf2 (but still way more advanced than 0.9) to attract people into downloading mod
- custom animations doesn't need to be hacked around
- custom attachments, custom attributes, basically any limitations we had before is gone

Even without it, possibilities were enormous.
Im just wondering what Mr L will change from what i worked with him a good while back. Or what he will even improuve

Since you do not seem to be able to take a hint, I will just say that once again, I will be bringing this back, but I cannot tell you exactly when that will be happening. However, I did upgrade the internet connection to the machine recently, so I just need to do a little bit more to get it up and running again.

Came by recently hoping these servers are still up, I understand its been like 8 years since ive last played but its unfortunate to not have them. Absolutely the best MvM you can get. I hope it comes back eventually, even if its only one or two servers.
