CTF-Face is done. There's a DM-Deck16 shell out there. Several UT99 CTF "competition" maps have been remade. Community mappers are working on bringing back various other maps.

Did you know there are other CTF maps besides the ones on the Epic Hubs? Come try some custom CTF maps on an Epic "trusted" server! Check out Laambo's -=AW=- Aggressive Warriors server! If everyone joins at one time, we can get some matches going.

I'd love to get my own server going. I was an assistant admin for TheGamebox.net CTF servers back in the UT99 days. I guess what I had in mind with this forum was being able to perhaps send out event notices for when more players are needed for 5v5 CTF PUG matches. Now that the game has some more players, I'll probably be getting more active.

I would start making moderators out of people who seem outgoing in this group and start up a small dedicated server (if possible) for the group to garner attention. Maybe some more activity in group chat. This steam group could be in a good position as no other Unreal Tournament 4 steam group has really been made or acumulated any members at all except this one.

I keep an eye on it, but I haven't really done much with it yet. Now that more people are paying attention to UT4, maybe it will be time to start setting up game events soon. IE, "Join this Hub, we're gonna play some custom CTF maps at this time of day." or "Need 2 players left for 5 on 5 CTF PUG match."

UT4 now has a (presumably, primarily North American) PUG match channel that includes CTF. You can find it at irc.GlobalGamers.net channel #ut4pugs. A few 5v5 UT4 CTF matches have already been organized and played there. Server: --- irc.GlobalGamers.net -- Channel: --- #ut4pugs --- There is also a Teamspeak server.

Holy cow! There must have been 150 people playing the pre-Alpha today. It's so easy to download and get into the game now with the Launcher. The most recent version of the pre-Alpha feels pretty good.

Breaking news! The Unreal Editor 4 for UT is now free! I'm so psyched to begin making CTF maps for UT4!

I played the UT4 pre-alpha a little bit last night in CTF and it felt pleasantly playable. I can see myself spending time in the future playing that game. It still needs a lot of work, but it's getting there.

I played a little UT4 instagib CTF tonight. Not bad. The movement feels pretty good now. What's great is that there are now more CTF maps out there for people to play on!

You rock, bro! In other news, we now have a new CTF map to play on. CTF-Outdoors. There's been a lot of talk on the forums and also on last Thursdays streaming video about work on the HUD, but they haven't included any prototype HUDs yet.

Well, we've made it to 100 people in this group. I hope it's just the beginning. In the meantime the Pre-Alpha has improved since its initial release, but still has a long way to go.

I tried to join the Beyond Unreal server and was rejected because it was full! This could be the first time a UT4 server was full. Good to see.

We now have a working DOMination mod up on one of the servers. It looks just like UT99 DOM so far.

We now have two maps for the UT4 Pre-Alpha! CTF-FaceTest and CTF-Dam. There have been some 4v4 and 5v5 games. Looking good but something doesn't feel right about the shock rifle.
