I think it's time to file criminal charges against Valve for unlawful computer tampering. I never allowed them to install Apple libraries (webkit!) on my computer, and as such this constitutes the same problem as other internet worms that installs malware without user consent.

And the compare to facebook in the comment below here is quite good. Steam has removed the non-cluttered ui, in favor of something that looks like yet another "social network site" with all the added functionality of glossy plastic. In fact, it looks like something a five-year old child of a cupertino worker might come up with. I've chosen Steam over other options because of convenience. If their software is inconvenient, that means I'll take my money elsewhere. Right now I'm just waiting. If no "we will keep the classic UI around" statement is made, I'll purchase the games I've already set aside money for from competitors, simple as that. I downright REFUSE to have AppleWebkit, their excuse for a media-player mdns-responder or any other of their products installed. Period.
