What turn based tactics games have you all been playing? Which have above 100 daily players? Armello is going away now and there doesn't seem to be anything to take its place.

Its both, the steam and gog versions are digital.

yeah looks really cool. but looking at their kickstarter, its based on a physical board to play? (or did they scrap that, and its just a digital game)

Prodigy tactics looks gorgeous. Gameplay looks fun and may have some depth. Still rough around the edges for a early access, but worth keeping an eye on.

Insidia is a new game on early release on steam. Its a blend of Atlas Reactor and Aerena. You control 4 chacters vs another player controlling 4 others. worth looking into.

Just bought Smite tactics. First impressions: very very bare bones. but its in closed beta, i mainly bought it to support the development. I expect a good final product considering the developer.

Faeria is finally on Steam! Great tactical CCG with a grid that you build with different terrains/mana (very magic-esque). A very unique game. It's F2P but also has a $50 buy-in option to buy all the cards in base game (excluding expansions). I love that option, all ccgs should have it. March of War: Face Off XL is the newer edition of the face off game that released earlier this year, but it has a focus on the PC, instead of the mobile-friendly initial version. currently in early access

Age of Decadence released recently, it is a turn-based tactical singleplayer game, a lot of replayability and different storylines. Really recommend it, going under the radar since its been in Early access for so long

No problem :) Trions (the maker of Rift) is coming out with a turn-based tactics game, it looks really great and seems to take a lot of the atmosphere/look from mobas. It's called Atlas Reactor, looks interesting, it's also simul in nature like the Frozen games.

Thank you Roder for having this group. I currently play Conquest of Champions, Epic Arena, King's Bounty: Legions and Battlegrounds of Eldhelm. The first three of these are CCG/TBTs using battlefields. BoE resolves combat by card stats only. All of these are free to play (for anyone not familiar with them). Have fun in your games all!

town of Salem looks cool, i enjoyed playing Mafia (pseudo card game) with my youth group multiple times, it is essentially based off of that :D By the way all, Games of May is updated, theres been many sales going on this month of great tactical games, included singleplayer

Can i suggest Town of Salem? Its not exactly tactical, but its quite stategic not in a player playing the game sort of way but player playing other players, Plus its cheap and you can fit up to 15 people into a game

A member, Raziel, suggested we do a multiplayer event night. Try to get a lot of the group to hop onto one game for a night and play some PVP games. Could be any game, a new one or an old one to revive for one night. I think the best options would be a game that is F2P or one that many people have....some games that come to mind are Banner Saga Factions, Conquest of Champions, AErena, XCOM...

Hey eveyone i'm new here, this group sounded like a cool idea so i decided to join. I have been looking for some more tactical strategy games on steam but its almost impossible. I didnt know steam had even this many, im glad I found this group and I think im going to like it here.

Great to hear, I loved Aerena. Still have the background and badge on my profile hehe Just got Warhammer 40k: Regicide, came out yesterday. It has a chess mode and a XCOM-like multiplayer mode, with abilities and such. I will try it out more before I make a group recommendation. Hope everyone else is having fun gaming!
