I still own a dedicated server but it is not as strong as the one I used to own. Good enough for TTT it would be.... ZS probably a stretch.

While it won't change that much right away, it would be an honour to take ownership of the group together with Lexadar (currently named Chad because he's a true alpha, a paragon of of life) if he agrees to it and you guys are ok with it!

Don't worry, no one is blaming you for the domain name being taken. We were all young and money can be complicated. A lot of the old gamesketch bois are still online and talking to one another, and I think it definitively would be possible to organise a few servers and happenings in the spirit of GS in the future when the time is right. I've been waiting for a long time for "S&box" to release, which is Facepunch's codename for an upcoming Garry's Mod "spinoff", which is looking really promising, and opening a Zombie Survival server there would be a top priority. We could also do something like set up and host a Gmod server (ZS, TTT, or just anything) for a whole evening/night and view at it as an event. Maybe around Christmas times? I remember we did that with CS:S surf in the New Year of January 2013 (it was the first time I ever stayed up until 5 AM LOL).

Because we will never be able to get access to the old name ever again. Also, you cannot change group names, it's a steam restriction so don't worry about that. The new logo and the ones I will design in the future are always carry the "essence" of the old logo. the "GS" thing was never actually a logo of gamesketch but the lightblue/lightgrey color cross was.

It broke my heart when I could not use "gamesketch.net" as a domain anymore but I was young and had no spare money to keep the domain active.

Using gamesketch.com .de .whatever just does not feel right, and that's why I came up with something new instead.

However if you want I can give you ownership of this group and you can carry on the spirit of it, I feel it's important to you and I guess I have no right to take it away from anyone here. I'll make a new group.

As long as we don't change the name or the essence of the original logo, I guess it's fine.
Otherwise just make a new Steam group and advertise it from here. This group really is the only "physical" thing we have left from the good old days. With just over 100 members, I don't see the point to changing this group instead of just making a new one.
By the way, this new logo looks alright, but I don't see why not just stick with the old one

Garrysmod server wont come back, I can almost promise that. But we might stick together as a community. I have something in the works. What games we support will depend on you guys.
