Hello! Sorry I was aways for so long, I've been in Turkey and had annoying internet problems prior to going, so I couldn't let anyone know that I as going. Sorry about that.
It looks like loads has happened in my absence. We have a second server again, awesome! I'll add it to the front page.
I've heard that there have been some significant problems with RFS1? As far as I can tell, it's running fine, although I haven't visited it yet.

Fill me in on what's happened since I've been away and tell me stuff I need to do in order to get things running smoothly again.

As I'm sure anyone reading this will know, the Random Fun Server has been down for the past couple of days. Unfortunately, this was due to a severe DDoS attack. I've no idea who did it, and unfortunately know way to find out. Whoever they were, they clearly have issues if they're willing to attack a simple gaming server.

Anyways, whilst I couldn't of prevented a DDoS attack, I'd just like to say I'm really sorry. I probably could've handled this better. Because of the severity of the attack, the good folks at Xenon Servers are moving us to a more secure server box. This means that literally everything will be reset, as most of the non-addon files can't be tranferred. Although don't worry, the server will be the same, I'm manually copying all necessary addon files as well as server advanced duplicator files. On the up side, due to the new box there's a chance the server will become a lot more stable, and Evolve may work again. Oh, and the server IP will change, so you'll need to re-assign it to your favourite lists (if it was previously on there) once the change is complete.

So yeah, hopefully there should be no noticable change for you, except maybe a few minor ones. The RFS should be coming back online in the next few days. Bear with us and sorry for the downtime!

Right, the problem from before was Evolve. It's been removed and replace with ULX. I know it's much worse then Evolve but it's still probably second best. It also means you now have voting options. Just use !votekick playername.

So yeah, sorry I had to do this. It's really frustrating, I loved Evolve. It's a shame it broke and classed everyone as admins. But that wont happen anymore, it also means that prop protection now works.

Right, some of you may be aware of the talk between me and Milk (a server regular and group member). For those of you who aren't, Milk recently got his own server up and running. In his generosity, Milk offered that his server becomes a second RFS. I accepted.

So now, we have another server to play with! A whole new one. This means we'll be needing new admins, new ideas and new regulars. The more helpfullness you show in this transition period, the more likely it is that you will be promoted to either respected or admin.

Now, first thing's first. Me and the others have been debating what to do with the new server. We've all agreed that it should be more specialised than the original one. This could mean either a whole new gamemode (possibly fretta) or another sandbox server with more specialised addons such as Scars. So, what do you think? What should we do with the new server?

Oh, and last note, we may be getting our very own coders! There's a chance that we could have some exclusive RFS content on the way, so feel free to make requests.

Right, it's come to my attention that the majority of our group members no longer visit the server and/or this group page. I guess that it's probably my fault because I've not really made everything very active. In a hope to spice thigs up, I've decided to host some events on the server. By this I mean small or large temporary changes to the server to make thigs more exciting. For example, I was thinking of having a zombie survival event. I'm pretty sure you can all guess what this would involve, but it would have a twist. I would use the playerfactions mod to allow you to play on the side of the zombies.

Anyway, please use the chat in this announcement to give me your ideas for any events. I could really do with them!
