The Odd Scout saw the inteligence, and knows things much worse.

But then laws of physics would not apply...okay, we're assuming this is NOT a frictionless vacuum, normal electromagnetic forces apply, and furthermore that the dangerous effects of suddenly G-forces have no effect, but gravity applies as usual. Otherwise, Odd Scouts will float off into space due to the spin of the Earth and general curvature and only stare at the moon, eventually drifting into deep space and practically ceasing to exist.

Now, a more LOGICAL method of explaining the Odd Scout phenomenon would be to say they are actually located upon a fourth dimension, one which is perpendicular to all three dimensions we perceive. In this way, they would theoretically be able to move through objects and choose not to but also be somewhat immune to effects transmitted from the third dimension (say, boolets,) by simply shifting position in their 4-d matrix to one where said boolets are NOT located.
