The time has come, when a young caterpillar has sprouted from the cocoon and beholds the butterfly. I am the butterfly and the cocoon represents the childish sins that engulf my soul. I before sprouting was not able to make informed decisions about responsibilities and their consequences. The time has come and the time to act is now. I must learn from my past caterpillar days and become a mature butterfly by breaking free from my cocoon. I have learned from the cocoon that sometimes a young butterfly must test the weather before flying or else he shall perish. I have tested the waters of the lake called “Line Battles” and I enjoy the water enough for me to come constantly through-out my butterfly lifespan and drink from the fountain that hydrates my physical body and my spirit.

Although I have floundered upon the leaf known as the “Minute Men” while I drink from the lake, it seems as though my small majestic body has begun to sink, not because of weight but because the leaf has many holes that leak water from beneath. It has become clear that I must flutter my way to another leaf in order to keep my wings dry and to preserve my life so I can create many young caterpillars. I the butterfly cannot express my deep sorrow for the loss of the leaf in my buzzing of wings, but the butterfly shall remain a constant stream of hope that is everlasting until the great lake has sought a drought. –Sincerely Butterfly, Gavin
