BTW: If you are playing TE in German be sure to pick up my update and if you play in any other language pick it up too because I fixed some mistakes in the subtitles and retimed some subtitles (all languages).

just received a newsletter from bigfinishgames. The most important thing in this newsletter for me (and probably many other fans):

We are very happy with how "Tesla Effect" has been received on GOG and Steam.
...Be sure to visit www.aaronconners.net for updates on two future novels. The first, to be released later this year, will pick up from the end of The Pandora Directive and relate Tex's exciting adventures leading up to Tesla Effect. This story may only be available as a novel (it can't be an FMV game, not without a time machine for the actors), but it just might end up being adapted into a unique interactive experience (stay tuned for details!). The fifth and final novel will be Tex Murphy's grand finale and, hopefully, the basis for the last and greatest Tex Murphy game of all!

So there MIGHT be another Tex Game in the far future and there WILL be another novel regarding the time between Pandora and TE :)

I have finished my fourth playthrough (so only one missing) and I still love the game. I think it is time for the next one ;)

@gadmarch667: Sorry to hear it ran a bit slow on your computer, I think there was a patch recently that improved the performance a bit for some. If not maybe you can ask around on the Steam forum for the game or the developers forum Big Finish Games if anyone has any tips. Best of luck!

Yeah during the Twitch pre-release stream the developer team meantioned the Linux version will be out once capable drivers for the video are available for the platform (Bink for Linux was it?), they said it should hopefully be during this summer. Here's hoping!

Ah you mean voices too, not just subtitles? Unfortunately I think since that'd require hiring French voice actors, it was likely not able to fit in the budget... Maybe if the original release generates enough income to afford foreign language dubbing, it can be patched in later?

Hi Tom, one of the Kickstarter stretch goals was to help fund "Text translations for French, Italian, German and Spanish". Thankfully the long-standing public following the Tex Murphy series has meant people generously pitched in to get to that goal and far more =)

Bon je dois être le seul french à avoir fait la démo (en anglais seulement) et franchement, ABSOLUTLY BRILLIANT !
Les énigmes sont logiques, l'assemblage des objets et le déroulement du jeu également.
Les vidéos sont de grande qualité (2K apparemment, c'est pas mal mais 13Go quand même le jeu). Je suis bien tenté par l'acheter mais seuls les sous-titres sont en français et on ne peux pas (sauf erreur) jouer à la manette... Quel dommage, je ne peux pas y jouer dans mon canapé.

Hi oddsnake, glad you could support the release by preordering the game! I played quite a few interesting FMV games too like Toonstruck, Black Dahlia etc. And of course all the Tex games =) The steam page says pre-orders get a "Tex Murphy Live Jazz soundtrack", to be honest I'm not sure if thats different to the regular soundtrack lol.

I'm so freakin' hyped! I knew the game was coming but not this soon! I immediately preordered it and I've marked the date. This will be so awesome! I grew up with these FMV Adventure games, from 7th Guest to Phantasmagoria to Pandora Directive, these were my childhood games. To see Tex again..I'm speechless. And after testing the demo I utterly enjoyed myself, so this will be fantastic. How do we obtain the soundtrack? Will that be available through Steam or as Download?

May 7th! Another couole of weeks. Actually that works out well for me. Will have more time to play the game to see all the endings.
