Terraria Deep II - We are Reborn

Welcome and Welcome back :)

Well folks, for those of you that don't know what happened last year, our server crashed and our backup was destroyed. This setback made the team lose a lot of its spark. Now a year later and with new client/server software; we are back stronger than ever. All of you oldfags (I'm talking to you Mr. D, Hunter, Busta, Blue) it's time to pickup the reigns of creation and start forming our cities once again.

I will be scheduling dates that we can get together and do group builds. Let me know your availabilty and personal work load. We will work around it. If you know of anybody interested in building with us or testing the server please inform me. I also have gained access to a 256 person Hamachi server. Once we go live I will switch to that server and we can host a near infinite amount of TD players.

Hi everybody, first off I want to thank my staff for being as dedicated and active as they have been since we began development. Secondly, I want to thank the players. Most of you guys stick around; you join the server a few times a week and just have fun. That's what we want to see!

On a development note, our server was severely griefed last night. I disabled dynamite ban because I thought it was to harsh of a consequence, especially for the honest players that just want to dig fast! This was a mistake. We tried to rollback all of the damage but it proved to great. In turn, I have rolled the server to a backup file that is 5 days old. Not to bad but still, the fact that I had to do this is a sign that our next beta is going to be different...

In the next beta (which will begin either today or a little later in the week) we will be going private. If you wish to test our server we welcome you to join the forum, register under the "Beta Application" thread, and await our approval. You will be added to the whitelist and allowed in. ANY griefing that occurs from here-on out will result in a permanent ban without appeal and a listing of all active IP addresses tied to your account (both public and VPN addresses). You will be globally blacklisted on Terraria's main forum and we will actively persue having your client blocked from future multiplayer matches. You are destroying the work of hundreds of combined man hours. It's not funny, it's not cute. We take our job seriously here at Terraria Deep and if we have to prove it in methods such as this we will.
