The servers are back online after a couple of hours unexpected down-time!

We apologise for the servers being down for the last couple of hours! This was due to a server update that forced the servers to restart and cause the addons to fail mounting. This has been fixed and the servers are back up online again!

We are very sorry for the inconvenience, and also sorry that we didn't keep you updated along the way - our main priority was to get them back up online as soon as possible.

Thank You to those who emailed us to let us know, and you have been given your compensation points once you rejoin!

Water Plant - Hide & Seek map

Our new map has been released and is avaliable on our servers, and the workshop!

Water Plant is a map based at an industrial sewage processing plant. This facility offers many dark areas to hide, as well as vast open spaces to taunt the seekers.

Here are a few things that we have added to our servers to help make your time with us a little bit easier/more fun!

!qc - This will open up our server quick connect page[TechnicallySquare.co.uk]. From here you can click and connect to any of our servers, and see how many people are online. This works straight through steam, and doesn't require any 3rd pary software!
!forum - This will open up our steam forum (which is on this group) where you can post your comments, ideas, and even compliments!
!donate - This is an easy way to check out the donation ranks, Lootcrate, and even make a donation[TechnicallySquare.co.uk].

SUICIDE BARRELS

NEW SERVER has now been released !

After a week of re-coding and prepping, Suicide Barrels[technicallysquare.co.uk] is now up and running!

This is an infection based gamemode, this meaning that there is 1 Barrel to start and the rest of the players are Humans. The Barrels goal is to kill all of the Humans before the timer depletes, if that is not accomplished then the Humans win. If a Human is killed, they will become a Barrel. The Humans have a one-shot pistol that has to be reloaded after each shot.

Very similar to the HL2 DM gamemode Suicide Survival, but barrels and infection based rather than teams! Come and give it a go! Great for any amount of players from 2+, but the more the merrier!

Server updates and COPS & RUNNERS

So, There have been lots of little updates here and there in regards to maps and other files over time, but you as the players never really know what is going on until you log on and find out. So, I thought I'd post the updates to here for you!
By the way, there is BIG news - read through!

Technically Square Prop Hunt

I have removed the original cs_ maps from the server and mapcycles because people who don't have CS:S get kicked off straight away. Removing the maps means that they can still join and complain about the errors, then they can understand why they have them, and maybe even resolve them.

Technically Square TTT

This is a small update, but I added ttt_trainstation to the server as it was a popular well-made H&S map, but sadly way too small.

Technically Square Murder

I have removed the original cs_ maps from the server and mapcycles for the same reasons as above (PH)

Technically Square Hide & Seek

A few maps have been removed for different reasons. Also I have updated various ulx commands and groups (won't affect the majority of you)
Maps removed:

cityruins2 - Way too big with the newly discovered sewers and all.
ttt_trainstation - Too small for H&S. Moved to TTT (see above (TTT)).
has_halfdocks - As popular as this map was, it has had to be removed due to massive out-of-map exploits with missing invis walls. Developer has been notified for an update hopefully.
ttt_communitybowling - This map was fairly small for H&S, but has been removed due to the traitor tester being used as a 'safe room' by destroying the power to it. This map is still on our TTT server.

Technically Square Cops & Runners

We have now added a new server for Cops & Runners!

At the moment this server uses the same maps as our Hide and Seek server (as they seem to work fine, and it saves me having two FastDL (lazy I know)). This will be changed if some maps are great for one, but not for the other.

There may be small amounts of downtime in the next few weeks if any bugs/glitches/errors occur, but other than that it is pretty much ready to go!

The pointshop is the same as normal, but I have removed the playermodels on this server, as we found it was quite difficult to see who was on what team.

This server currently has a max player limit of 24. This might change if it is too much to make it a fair match, or too little with the demand and it still plays fine.

In Conclusion...

Please please please post feedback of any ideas or opinions that you may have because that is the only way I can make the servers better for you, the players. The servers are here for you, not just me. I take on all reasonable feedback and aim to provide you with a better gaming experience on our servers.

Now, one last thing... Christmas is coming up! Scary thought I know. You might have seen various banners and links on our site and servers for our Christmas deal, but if not, here is the info!
