Hi all just want to throw out there that patch 1.9 is live and brought more content and lots of changes - most interesting for me is the changes to many weapon skills/passives.

Bird of the Zero Point Pathogen event has finally(?) come to an end. I'm sad to see it go, since it was the only method I used to upgrade gear and one of the reasons I continue to login, but now...

The long awaited Tokyo is out to purchase early for subscribers so there is a little more to do ingame now(?) - though I'm sure some will just breeze through it then complain there's nothing else to do until the next batch is out. :P

That said, I hope some will check it out and I hope to see you all in-game sometime.

Yeah, hoping to be able to get back on on my laptop sometime to knock this out. I think I have the first two parts of the achievement done, but will definitely need help on the rest of it. So if you guys are around and up for it, I'd love the help! (otherwise, I'm hoping that the TSW community continues to be as awesome as they have in the past in helping people out with stuff like this.) Then I just have to figure out if it's at all possible for me to get the rest of the set of clothing - I'm doubting it, but maybe I'll figure out something.

Nice for everyone to get that buzz helmet. I just wish they kept the bird portal open the whole time.

They've restarted all the whispering tide events so you can get your achieves, and be able to finish the overall achieve for finishing/being part of the whole thing.

Besides defeating the filth dragon aka 'Flappy' (I still don't really like the community name but still say it) x times I haven't done anything else ingame. There was a scenario bonus weekend a few weeks back, but I'm not really into those solo so I skipped out on that.

Been quiet for awhile that when I saw the comment notification I thought there was a content update lol.

I'm jumping between TSW and Diablo 3, with some Final Fantasy X HD action on PS3 as well. TSW got lonely, glad to see you back.

Hey guys, just wanted to drop by and say I'm still around. We moved cross country in February, and have been busy buying a house, getting settled, all that jazz.

I'm hoping that I'll be back in game before too long, but sadly I haven't been playing much of anything lately, and my gaming rig is low on the priorities to get setup.

But I am looking forward to getting back in game, and hopefully hanging out with people again before too long.

This time it's a raid instance. All you have to do is go in the portal - no grouping ahead necessary. Think of over-world event bosses, but this time found in an instance (with a cooldown sadly). So log in and try it out!

The Cat God is back on as well, and it has been confirmed that it still drops the Amethyst Mouser.

For this year's Thanksgiving we wish to invite you to a great Golden Weekend in The Secret World! We are starting the festivities on Thursday the 28th of November and it will last all weekend until Monday the 2nd of December. The Golden Weekend contains:

Not so much of an update per se, but today's update added/improved some features I thought were neat/long called for. Some notables:

- "/roll" command
- Trade, LookingforGroup, and the Faction channels now shared between Venice, London, Seoul, and New York
- Option to the character sheet to allow players to hide weapons when out of combat
- New button to the inventory for sorting and stacking items in each bag & proper disassembly stacking
- Purchasable weapon skins

Sure there could be some bugs with these changes, but it's nice to see the game make gradual improvements.

Sure was fun to see some kitties on the last day.

I've tried normal difficulty scenarios on solo and duo mode with 0-3 others and I'm surprised at how difficult they can still be under those modes with more players. I don't know if it's just a matter of being unprepared in gear/builds, the scenarios mobs/bosses themselves, or I'm just plain awful.

That was an awesome final day for the Halloween event, thanks Jokette. I am looking forward to getting issue 8 and doing some of the co-op levels.

Someone named Fjuffs spotted him at location 18 on the map and called it out, got all the acheivements, now for the cat and the bloody pumpkin

Oh forgot to mention, a good spot for farming green bags is that area right out of the Agartha portal in Blue Mountain. With some aoe attacks you can kill the haunted construction worker mobs pretty quickly.

Yeah, problem with the green bags is that they can drop clothing pieces that you already have but I can confirm that the bloody pumpkinhead does drop from it.

Incognito can be a pain since if you find him and try to call out to others he can disappear after awhile. One time I tried to stall him from disappearing by just healing and was about to make a shout out when another player came along and just killed him.

yeah, spent hours looking for him solo last night between SJ fights. weekends are slow, so was hoping to find at least 3 other people to form a hunting party, now that I'm nightmare capable, I really want those master planner achievements......that's going to be difficult without an active Cabal. One guy called out his location, and I responded immediately, he accepted my Meet Up request, and as soon as I zoned in, he said someone else killed it. I can't tell if I'm being trolled or not. I also spent about an hour farming Green Bags in the swamp right across from the tunnel we cleared the other night for the Kingsmouth shortcut, but all I walked away with was brown bandages for my right hand...which is not listed as a clothing drop in the ♥♥♥, so I don't know what's going on. I also did NM Cat God with 5 others trying to get the cat, no dice.

(Sort of) Old news but the 2012 achievement is attainable now that the bloody pumpkinhead of last year has been added to green event bags dropped in Blue Mountain. No word on the Samedi Hat yet.

They just discovered a Super Jack boss - think of golem events but with lots of preparation and room for bugs and error :\ .

It's like summoning Jack for the event group mission, but more specific in placement of pumpkins. Some summon groups made an error (be it mistake or interference of other players) and summoned normal Jack instead. In one instance I got no credit upon defeat. Well with time Super Jack will be more frequent once the bugs and issues are fleshed out I hope.

So the filth portal opened up and behind it is a filth dungeon instance with normal and nightmare difficulty. Definitely takes a group to complete it, unless you're really good and geared. I tried heal tanking normal with a friend and it took ~1 hour to complete with just us two. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. Just tokens and 2 lore, but it was a fun challenge.

The idea of actually having even a semi-regular crew to run dugeons would be awesome.

My life's been uber busy lately, and I'll be moving in a few months, so it doesn't show any sign of slowing down, but I'm hoping to be on regularly enough that maybe we can start running elites. If we can pick up some other people to fill the holes, which, judging from my PUG experiences, shouldn't be that hard...

When I was in BM, I had managed to accumulate ~3.5M Pax, so I was able to take a night and completely outfit myself in Q10 Greens with the stats I was looking for via the AH. Paired with the massive amounts of XP from the anniversary event, and I have assault rifle and fists basically completely finished, and am well into Blades with some Blood. While it might take me a while to kill things, I was able to solo The Last Legion quest in Egypt, which is supposed to be pretty difficult, so either I'm better than I think at building decks, or my gear is pretty decent. But yeah, I'd love to move into blues and eventually purples. I have about 60 BB, plus a TON of anniversary bags, so I'm thinking about saving them and picking up another 10.1 talisman to get a complete set after finishing issues 6 & 7.

wow, can't believe you've made it to egypt on greens. I started running elite dungeons before getting out of Kingsmouth, have maybe 5 purples with signets, mostly heal specific, and now I'm still on the Savage Coast.I also went and did the missions to obtain the quantum brace (auxiliary SP weapon) and dumpped my SP into it because it was supposedly a good healing weapon as well.I'm trying to do all the missions/collect all lore/etc. in each section before moving on. I found I could solo easy with assault/leech skills and geared toward ampping them up.

Maybe it comes down to play style, I don't use potions and such (though I do have a hot bar for gadgets, since they aren't consumable). I just upgraded to a sub myself and bought all the content. I suggest that to anyone who bought it after the free to play conversion and got the game up to issue #5 (vanishing of tyler freeborn) when they bought it, because I used my first 1,200 points from finishing my first 30 missions to buy issue #6, and then just used my first 1,200 points from my first months sub to buy issue #7. It is going to be easy to get left behind in content, or start being expensive to purchase outside of using the points you get from having a sub.

I don't think you really need to worry about gear much until you approach some walls in PvE. Completing Issue #6 and 7 will reward you with a purple 10.1 Head (#6) and a Neck Talisman (#7) the first time around if I remember correctly.

Aside from those two talismans, the most PAX efficient way of upgrading gear would be running Elite Dungeons, with the need/greed and group luck (again, wish there was more of us for this stuff to help out! :P). However, if you saved up a lot PAX you might get lucky and find some blue QL10 Talismans <300,000 in the auction. Oh and if you have atleast 30 Black Bullions that's enough for 1 purple gear as well!

Looking forward to the Halloween Event they are repeating, since I've only played after the B2P conversion and missed it. I really want that Nermegal Cat pet, and lit up pumpkin head!

Oh ho. Good to know about the event channel. I'm slowly working my way through Egypt, but I'm hoping I'll be able to help contribute to the event as it progresses. Finally picked up issue #7, so at least I have access to all the content now, even if I'm quite a ways away from actually experiencing it. (Plus, I needed something worthwhile to drop some SP into.)

I do need to figure out a good way to get better geared. I'm in green 10's mostly, but I need some better weapons, I think, and a plan for upgrading out of my green 10's. But I also feel like it's kinda not worth it until I'm actually approaching endgame...

Just got home from it. It was fantastic. If you guys really care to hear more, I'd be glad to mention some of the highlights, since this seems to be a fairly private forum these days. ;) But I am looking forward to getting back to TSW - I think I've pretty much finished with Solomon's Island (including my first pass through Tyler Freeborn), and should be just starting in on Egypt - can't wait to see what's in store there, although I will miss some of the characters from Solomon's Island.

Hope you're enjoying your trip! I also have been saving some bags as well 30+ and counting. So for sure I will have some waiting for you. Here's hoping they are not flares or I would get so jealous. :P
