You may actually find that steffire3 nipped the problematic bud and Steam worked their Inbox hence the time delay. Resolution is always Awesome, and as far as old viral codes running for years? Both Confirmed and Cyberpunk.

Thanks, @Central Services. As you suggested, I did send a detailed message to Steam Support. Their first response was the usual "must be malware on your computer" message. I sent them another message yesterday telling them that none of my antivirus programs had indicated a problem, nor had multiple scans, including a full scan, indicated any problems of any sort. I was surprised that I got a second response telling me they would look into it. For now, the popups have stopped, as of 2 days ago. I can only guess as to why, since they continued for 1 or 2 days after Steffire made changes to the group settings.

@ HiFive : suggest put in a Ticket regarding this? Having done a little research it *could* be a loophole in Steam Beta that allows a Third Party Bot site to spam the Karambit Award (the Karambit being a small hooked Filipino belt knife) that I think originally was used to bait CounterStrike players back in the day and snuck out across Discussion Boards using keyword searches. Other suggestions include changing your Handle (name) and/or unsubscribing/resubscribing to the things you dig. My knowledge is pretty scrappy on this one I have to admit, so perhaps go with the Ticket idea...

@ Steffire and @ Central Services. It's good to see that this finally got some attention. At first, my inquiries on the Steam Discussions pages did not seem to be taken seriously. The issue, however, was very intrusive, and annoying, and not something I could just ignore. Nor did I want to leave this group. I also felt, since I have only 2 Steam friends, I'm only in 1 group, my profile is set to private, and I only play solo, the problem would be easier to trace than for most Steam members.

@ steffire : the Steam Karambit bot has been doing the rounds for at least the last two years - I came across it in a TF2 Group a while back. Seems it keep wriggling through the Board Listings - it's a good thing this Board is relatively easy to triage in comparison..! Thanks @ HiFive to bringing this up - it seems this is /still/ a thing.

@ HiFive : Group Restrictions were high however I raised the "Invite Chat Members" to Officers and I removed a Member who was not on my friends list who has always been silent and remained unproven. I'll send you a screen grab I took of the current restrictions.

Is anyone besides me getting spammed by a bot for a fake Steam Karambit Award? I posted a thread in the Steam Community discussions pages, and they are telling me that the bot spams groups, and this is the only group I'm in so they are saying it must be this group that is one of the groups being spammed.

@ Everyone (Thanks Zyguma for mentioning the Tai Chi Master!) : This group is also a place for all your mod requests. I have tried to make as many "Forums" here as possible however being human means I probably missed something.
Therefore feel free to add more Forums and Discussions (or ask me to make more alternatively) and add useful Copy, Pasted and Credited info or your own written graphs, links and stuff for TL2 and related games.
I can also edit any posts I have made meaning feel free to inform me if I should mention more info from any past topics.

@ Zyguma Beach : More than happy to have you on board! As you may know my time (to add quality stuff) is limited so I appreciate any help on any goals we may have in this group for TL2 info. ^_^

However we could use more info filled comments and topics including from mods like "Arcane and Bestiary" for Lore as an example. I posted a link in the Synergies section here credits to Potterman for finding that.
What I'm trying to say is we need more links, discussions and more stuff all around. Feel free to help where you see a need!

Greetings! Just fixed my PC after my EVO960 decided to blow it's Boot Sector.
Happy to proof read and edit any text proffered, maybe build a link list if we don't have one already, talk sass regarding (ahem) 'the Holistic approach to blending Mods conditionally for Specific Outcomes-', and still have that Dream for working up a Tai Chi Master Class...

Began this group today. I still have many other things to consider before I even begin to add stuff to it. I also have to finish answering my Steam "Mail Box".
I have less time than I used to these days so keep that in mind.
