Also for as much bad as Europeans did to China we did good. Its was the British and French who stopped China being ripped apart by rebellions like the Taiping rebellion.

They tried to supress attempts at westernisation. Rulers like Cixi supressed attempts at government reform that could have made Qing China a Democratic Constitutional Monarchy.

Well it tried to westernise, but there many problems that came up which made it hard to do this: Opium War, Sino-Japanese war, Boxer Rebelion, Civil war, split country and an awful economy.

If China was apparently always trying to 'adapt' to suit their country's situation, then why didnt 19th century China modernize like Japan did. Instead they stuck to their old fashioned Medieval ways, stayed crap and payed for it dearly. They could be far more Hi-tech and powerful now. I don't think sticking to the same political system for 4000 years is adapting in any way at all.

China has the capability to switch governments, but the stubborn west wants everyone to use their own government, this is why china is still around, because we can adapt a government suited to the situation of the country.

How come we Chinese people didn't retain a symbolic emperor like the Japanese people did ?

How can the Chinese civilization not have a symbolic Chinese Emperor or Imperial flag? and run by some foreign communist ♥♥♥♥ ideologies, not even fundamentally Chinese from the bottom. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ German idea !!

The Korean flag is a Tai Chi symbol.

The Japanese flag is a Rising Sun symbol.

The Chinese flag should have been an "Imperial Dragon" symbol !!
