Yes Wittman was a König Tiger ace, and he died a hero of the Reich. And yeah the Austrians stopped the Turks, BARELY, at Vienna, Their Capital. And Prussia started as a humble 2 states in Europe (Brandenburg und Ost Preußen). But in a mere 70 years they were the masters of Europe. They squashed everyone in their INCLUDING the Austrians (Astro- Prussian war), Where Friedrich der Große, against all odds, against NUMEROUS enemies, stil managed to kick Austria in the ass. And during the German Empire, Prussia was stated the dominiate power in the Empire, and ruled it, which it still does. And in World War 1, the Austrians couldnt even keep their front stable. It took THREE times to invade and take over SERBIA. Meanwhile, the Russians were kicking you ass, and not ours because we beat them at Tannenberg. Then, we had to send troops to your Russian Front just to help you guys in which. i read, the Austrian troops were delighted that REAL German strength and reinforcements came.

Germans and Austrians are NOT the same. I have no clue where you live but here in Germany, Austrians are considered VERY different. Austrians are very silly, Germans are very serious. The Austrians are weak compared to our German might. Your grandfather was drafted because we Germans took Austria so duh, he would be drafted into the German Army. And yes Hitler was born in Austria, but in Mein Kampf he says his hometown is technically Bavarian ( :D ).
