I accidentally formatted a drive with videos. Is there anything I can do to restore them and get them working again?
When I reinstalled Windows, I accidentally clicked "format disk," and it was a drive containing my Steam videos, which were stored in M4S format. I recovered these files using a program and placed them in the clips, timelines, and video folders.
The videos appear in the Steam interface, but I can't play them; I only see previews. When I click "export video file," I get the error "Unable to find information about video 2." Does anyone know if there's anything I can do, or is this the end of these files and I should give up?
