I'm finding that game audio is only recording sometimes (two recordings of the game Devil Blade Reboot had game audio one time and not another time). It also doesn't seem to be receording my microphone at all (BEACN Mic running through a BEACN Mix Create, which is the default recording device in Windows).

Other than obviously fixing these, it would be nice to be able to specify what mic device you want to you and it would be really, really nice if the game audio, mic audio and other applications you select could be recorded onto separate MP4 audio tracks for easy level adjustment.

So far though, it's so awesome to see this feature and it's off to a good start! Great work!

I got it working finally. Check your audio mixer on your computer. For some reason a steam process was set to muted on my main audio device, which prevented it from picking up audio. I have no idea why it defaulted to that, but it is working now.

Oh man, that was the problem for me. I've been deleting so many recordings cause I thought it was bugged lol. Why the hell was that muted?

when i first started using the beta at the beginning, 'only game' audio worked, since it's stopped working i've stopped using the recording service, because the big benefit to me was it only recording game audio without me having to worry about having background stuff turned off (many a clip in the past using shadowplay has had music or youtube audio in the background from my second screen because i forgot to turn them off).

I'm not sure which one it was, but I only see steam and steam client webhelper now too. You could try disabling all audio output devices besides your main one in windows and see if that fixes it. It may be listening to the wrong device.

woop, this worked. no idea how how steam had got muted but unmuting it worked for me too.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who muted steam a long time ago instead of just turning off all audio notifications

for me it only records the game music, nothing else

Anyone else still have issues with this? nothing is muted, any clip I export has 0 sound, it used to record sound, then the sound got dellayed weirdly on one recording and now it's fully silent every time
