Where and how did you get that message? Sounds like someone is trying to scam you.

yes, if you open a chat or get notified by a suspicious person you will get a red warning.

At roughly what time (including time zone) did you send the message to your friend that got flagged? Right before your post?

Its been happening to me with friends i've known for years, well 2 at the moment, the first one was after they mentioned the term ID, but it was in the context of Limbus Company and we were talking about this event's IDs and E.G.Os

The second time was on another friend who sent a youtube link which was 100% legit, so I'm not sure if it is like, a false positive or the bot is being triggered by some keywords in the chat history.

Edit: coincidentally, I updated my bios like 2 hours ago.

i feel you, i did mention about in game items trade to my friends. also about account details to people i trust. maybe that triggers the warning.

i like for it to raise awarness to people, but i think there are better ways to do this. additionally does that mean steamdevs can see users private chat?

The same for me, many scammer bots message me and then I'm marked as sus myself in friends chats.
