ALready pinged Steam who are assisting

Steps
CLick on library
Click on Wizardry proving ground to start game
Game starts with sound but displays Developer full screen icon and a small green square bottom screen which I assume is the green dragon on game icon
No further advance from that screen, appears stuck
Open task manager to get to steam software
Press stop game - responds stopping - game time continues running
Wont stop
Exit steam - reports that Wizardry needs to be ended - wait without change
Exit anyway
Restart steam - game stays stopping, game time has progressed
Uninstall steam - fresh install - download wizardry
Cloud out of date, wont update
Start game anyways
Now get wizardry proving ground game icon - no advancement, stuck on that screen

Working with steam to correct this problem, they have been very helpful trying to problem solve
Have now moved to Steam Beta - no change

Have also contacted game devs- no contact in 24 hours but it is the weekend
