I forget how I specifically fixed it, but I can tell you that I had to change shortcut keys on my PC. Sorry I can't help further than that, but I hope that gives you some sort of lead, good luck and hopefully valve fixes unwanted button presses when those keys aren't even being used by the controller.
I've known about the Node.Js connection for most of my time with this issue.
I've basically surmised that Adobe being weird has something to do with me trying to solve an issue with a HHD i got (It was fried by me being stupid) and me entering Bios multiple times to figure that out eventually, causing Adobe's update files to get corrupted (like in the sense of adobe and all of the important stuff still being accessible, but the files to update Adobe got corrupted and causes it to act weird) which at this point im used to as like you said you just need to kill all of the adobe processes and it'll not act up until your next boot-up from sleep and hell i've even found even more weirdness with this as it doesn't act up if you haven't installed the latest windows bullcrap update. So yea, as soon as there's no longer a need for me to have adobe for anything school related, in just going to take the steps to do a clean uninstall of everything adobe from the computer.
It seems to be most full screen apps not just steam related btw
that's what i did at the start of the year and now i've haven't been bothered by adobe since.
it may not be the case for you guys, but it's been 8 months since i got bombarded by adobe since i upgraded my computer for monster hunter wilds. that and maybe just treat adobe like a rabid dog and don't use it and then it'll maybe learn to behave, IDK.
