Not a solution. That will change the resolution I'm driving with. My issue is with the
Recording, not the game's resolution.
Quote:
My problem would be solved if I could limit my resolution for the --- BACKGROUND RECORDING --- from:
- 7680 x 1440 = (3 screens)
to
- 5120 x 1440 = (2 screens) = ("1/2 screen Left" + "1 screen Middle" + "1/2 screen Right")
Again, this is my gaming resolution: 7680 x 1440
And what I need for the recorded file: 5120 x 1440
So I need Record to not record the outer halves of Left and Right screen.
("1/2 screen Left" + "1 screen Middle" + "1/2 screen Right")
Cheers :)
No. As mentioned in the OP I already struggle with stutter. The more stuff I run the worse it gets. The whole point of using Steam Recording is to minimize the impact of recording. I'm not here for workarounds.
I have been recording gaming in 4K quality for almost 10 years and have tried a lot of software. The Steam Background Recording has very low impact, the lowest I have ever seen, so my reason for posting here is to help improve it by sharing my needs, nothing else.
Cheers :)
Why?
SSD's does not work like that. And even if they did, it would not help anything with the game stuttering more in Window Mode, running at 40% less pixels, which is one of my arguments for having the feature I'm asking for. The 4 other reasons are important as well and is mentioned to support my request. All 5 could be solved by adding my requested feature.
I appreciate you are a helpful person, but this thread is not a help request. The thread is a Feature Request for Steam Record. I don't need help. I'm already an advanced user. I've been running multi-screens for 25 years with the need for lots of research and problem solving over the years. I know what I'm doing. ;)
Cheers :)
