Ultrawide (21:9) support for Big Picture?
I just got myself an ultrawide monitor, and most games I tried out support it just perfectly. But I was really wondering why Big Picture only displays in 16:9. If games can do it, I'm sure Steam can as well! So this is a feature request (not sure if I should post this to bug reports?) to add a nice 21:9 mode to Big Picture.

According to that survey, Valve should do something about us. After all, the amount of players that have a 3440x1440 resolution is comparable to the number of folks that have a VR headset, and Valve puts out cool new stuff for VR headsets all the time.

They are backing VR with the HTC partnership. That's why.

As far as I can tell this is still an issue. My smartphone is 21:9 and I can only get 16:9 when streaming with the SteamLink app. I’m stuck with these black bars on the sides

Still an issue.... Not sure how it can be so hard to fix this. Im sure this is why my steam box is glitching out too. Running ultra wide 1080p, steam big picture is in regular 1080p, and its trying to send out 1440p. If I make my desktop reso regular 1080p, its fixed. Come on valve, Wide screens are the norm now.

WOW, can't believe I can't launch Big Picture in 5120 x 1440 - VALVE come on, it's been years!

Big Picture is getting the Steam Deck UI soon-ish and hopefully it has more options for resolutions.
