I only noticed this on Ubuntu, happens on regular client and beta client.

I keep Steam Cloud setting disabled in Settings.

But every time I start Steam without an internet connection, when it was previously online, the Steam Cloud 'checkbox' in Settings re-enables itself, and many games indicate that they want to sync, and I must go into Settings and turn it off again.

Obviously this is annoying and worrisome. Settings should never change themselves, for one thing.

reproduce steps:

have Steam client open (maybe only on Ubuntu) and connected to internet
make sure Steam Cloud setting is un-checked in Steam | Settings in Cloud section
exit Steam, close the client
DISABLE internet connection by any means (turn off router..)
reboot if necessary
launch Steam Client
go to Steam | Settings in Cloud section
notice that your Steam Cloud checkbox has been *enabled* somehow

hopefully you'll be as concerned about it as I am.

Please fix this. I'd like to be able to trust the Steam client again.
