Steam Game Recording Default Time Does Not Distribute Amongst Games

ISSUE
When changing the default recording length in Steam's global settings, it does nothing and does not alter an other untouched default set game's recording time. Leaving it at 120 minutes and forcing the user to manually change it for every single title.

OS
Windows 10

STEPS
Access Steam Settings
Navigate to Game Recording
Change "All Other Games" recording length to any other value besides the default 120 minutes.

EXPECTED
All un-configured games should automatically update to whatever is set as the global default.

I guess there is no update on this?
Really frustrating to have to configure the same recording setting individually for all games.

how is this still a thing?? is there a fix coming for this? i have like 60+ games installed and i STILL have to go in and manually change EACH of them or they try and record 120mins of footage in the background while i play. and why do OBS/other tools not default to just NOT record?

my OS is win 11 pro btw
