Sometimes 2FA isn't enough. Sophisticated automated attacks can inject stuff into an already-established session. Used to be very common a few years ago for attacks against online banking. Seems to be too sophisticated (as in the tools were rather expensive on the black market, which limited their use to attacks that could yield 5 figures) to take over a relatively small Twitter account for use in a low percentage crypto scam, but who knows.

If Splat wasn't paranoid enough about his opsec and infosec before, he certainly will be now. I just hope there isn't any lasting damage, in particular to the huge archive of videos on his YT channel. We can say what we like about what he/people in general should have done to keep their accounts safe, but they're victims. Just because someone forgot to lock their door doesn't mean it's OK to rob their house and we would all be happier if we lived in a world where we wouldn't have to worry about slipping up momentarily.

Discord as well, don't forget. Likely he didn't have 2FA enabled, someone sent him a 'demo' with malware and.. here we are. Hope the damage to his YT channel is reversible, it's listed as terminated for me right now.

Hey Splatt, I've been playing something that I thought might peak your strategic interest. Would you consider curating / reviewing a newly released game called Unleash? It's a Tower Defense, "line wars" arena that features competitive multiplayer matches. There are tons of tower defense games out there, but almost none that do great multiplayer VS. battles like Unleash. I am really enjoying it, and am trying to get the word out to grow the player base. Thanks so much for your consideration =)

How would one go about adding Splatter on steam to appreciate his gloriousness? Not butt kissing, but actually being able to play games with him maybe even chat with him sometimes, get involved in his gamingness before he becomes huge on youtube? I'm sure everyone is wondering this anyway.
