I really like your castle mods. I wish I was literate enough in the creationkit to do this. I have a number of castles I created during my old AD&D days that would be perfect for Skyrim, but don't know how to create them. I have added your Kaldar Keep to my game. I understand the issues with adding the children from Hearthfire. I have the Steam mod that is supposed to allow your spouse, kids, houskarl, and steward to live anywhere so I am going to give that a shot and let you know how it works. In the mean time I will do a little hunting for someone that is good at the creation kit to try and partner with to do my castles. And since I am also a story teller by trade I will work on stories, background, NPC histories and such.

Hey I just downloaded the treehouse mod, but i really struggle with this...
i clicked on the green button and started the game again, but the house isnt there

@razohr- Sounds good. I liked 'requiem' as well. One of those two might be the way to go for the next mod video. So busy atm finding it hard to get the last bit on the new castle done haha.

@razohr - Hey mate thanks, glad you like the designs! Um, the song is 'book of eli- panoramic' off the movie 'Book of Eli'. Probably should have saved the song for an epic castle I build rather than a little tree house haha.

Greyface bug fix-
Firstly, open the creation kit and then in the top left hand corner click the open folder button. You should see all the mod ESP Files you have. Find greystone and double click it (or tick the box and then underneath select 'set as active'. This means it overwrites just the mod file not your skyrim esm file. After that, load it up by clicking ok and once in there's the object window (left hand side box) which contains all the parts for skyrim. There's a filter box there that you will type 'greystone' into. Do that and then select the 'actor' section on the left.

Make sure it's not 'actors'. Just 'actor'. If you did that right you should see 17 actors (npcs) with 'greystone' in the front of their names or codes. Select them all at once with shift or control key and then with all 17 selected, hold control and press F4. That's it, if done correctly it will give u a message saying the face data was exported. Save the plugin (top left button with save icon) and exit. That's all you have to do!
Bethesda will provide a fix for the grey face bug, just dont know when.

@LeadStarDude- Thankyou I'm glad you like my mods! And yes you are right, a western house mod is needed. I have one 90% complete atm but its close to Whiterun/ Riverwood but the location just had to have something built there as you will see. So after I release that one I will look into some locations for a western situated keep/castle.

Also, if you find a place you think would be good, take a screenshot and let me know. I will have a look and see if its suitable to build on ;D The main issue is altering the terrain as little as possible because some quests can have triggers in certain locations and making a new exterior nav mesh can be a pain/time consuming haha.

Crim5on Duck you are awesome! I have thouroghly enjoyed all of you player home mods. Keep up the good work. If you could would you please make a castle home between Markarth & Falkreath, or Solitude & Markarth? Ther are not any player home mods between Markarth & Falkreath that I'm aware of. It seems like a no mans land for modders. Most of your homes have been on the East side of the map. Will you make any on the West side?

@ s_and_w Hey mate I appreciate the interest and I understand the concept of a themed castle, however I would like to keep them as they are for now, sorry. The voice acting does sound like a good idea though, if possible, would you be able to release a demo of some sort in the workshop? Just a temp file that I can see what your capabilities are- I am not very picky I know us modders will not have studio quality sounds haha. You have to understand I get alot of requests to alter or modify my mods but I am hesitent because I am never sure of the skill level of the person requesting. Hope you understand. With voice acting however, I may be willing to design a village add on to greystone or even larger castle mods. Let me know if you are able to do a quick demo ect and we can take it from there if you wish..

Can I have your permission to modify and release your mod. I love them but I would like to add themes and voice acting and allow people less skilled with the creation kit to be able to enjoy a themed castle. (By themed I mean have an Imperial or Stormcloak etc.)

right click and go 'edit'. You will see a bunch of tabs in the center such as 'traits', 'stats', 'factions'. Go over the the 'inventory' tab. In the 'default outfit' section find 'ArmourEbonyAll' and select it. Once you done that just click 'ok' on the bottom left to close the window and thats it! All done! Save the plugin and load it up in skyrim! If it doesnt work for some reason you still have your original 'riftborg esp. file you can revert to. Let me know how you go, Im not too sure how much experience you have with the creation kit so I tried to include all the steps I think you might need!

@.:3n!gma:. W!iems- Hey mate. Before doing this, make a backup (eg: a copy) of the 'riftborg' esp file in the 'Skyrim' 'Data' folder. Use this backup file as the one you will edit. Just put a '1' or something after it. Ok..
First start the creation kit and click the 'open folder' in the top left hand side. All the esp. and esm. files you have should be there. Select the 'riftborg' copy you made and then in that same box click 'set as active file'. Very important you set the riftborg as the active file. The 'skyrim esm' may also be ticked thats ok, just as long as 'riftborg' is the active file. Then click 'ok' (If you need more help on that part go to here -http://www.creationkit.com/Category:Getting_Started) Once in and it has loaded (click 'yes to all' on any error messages that appear- they are normal), in the 'object window' go to 'actor' on the left hand side and then type 'heroskeepmalegaurdstatic' for the gaurds (or 'arnora' or 'thorald' if you want them). haha I'm actually on a broadband stick @ crap all connection speed because my ISP stuffed up and didn't connect me when they were supposed to :( I have done a little more after the skyrim 1.5 update and as soon as my real internet is connected the castle will prob be updated a week later :) I'll give notice closer to then anyways!
