Reporting People to Valve/Steam for Racist behavior and homophobic comments (especially made in text chat or on their profiles) does work! It may take awhile and the wheels of justice may grind slowly but they do grind inexorably!

Just bounced "Box" from the group - He made repeated attempts to get me to click on a link which I felt was suspicious. His claim was that he reported me for "Trade Violations" which is silly because anyone who knows me, knows I don't trade.
If he contacts you - do not click any links he offers, for whatever reason.
I unfriended and blocked him as a result of his attempts - what you do is your business.
