This post....its hilarious and has a lot of good points and ideas. But the whole time I read it ...I pictured a kid at the check out line screaming at his parents to let him buy something from those racks by the checkout. The image was burned forever in my mind with Choppah's name when I read "...Seriously though, I need this in my life...." - BAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! I love it.....no but he is right...I personally would love the Kriss - or a FN P90. I know a lot of haters out there for the p90 but I love it...huge mag for a sub.
Well even if no guns get added at least I made someone laugh :steamhappy:. As for the P90, I could not find one on the workshop. I don't think anyone has bothered adding it due to the animation requirements and that it doesn't match anything already in Insurgency.

I second this, a 7.62 NATO MG would be interesting. Alternatively, the SCAR could be made to fill this role with a 50/100 round drum and bipod. A 200 round belt on the MK48 may make the M249 less relevant.
I would say a 100 round belt because the MK48 should be like the other 7.62 NATO guns, you trade quantity for quality. So it will take less rounds to kill but, in order to do that, the MK 48 should require good trigger discipline. In this way the M249 remains the ultimate bullet hose, while the MK 48 is like a belt fed FAL with its short bursts of auto fire.

Let me just squeeze in one gun suggestion of mine:
There's wood and tactical variants of the Remington Model 700 in the workshop. It looks pretty good and the ironsights are easy to use. According to wiki it comes in several calibers including 223 and 338 Lapua. It could fill some nerfed marksman role for non-snipers with the 223, using the mini14's bullet. As compared to the mini14, it would have scopes with more magnification but slower fire (bolt action, duh). It could also go into the sniper role but I think we have enough high damage bolt actions.
Oh wow I completely forgot about sniper rifles. The 700 tactical would be perfect as a 5.56, has amazing ironsights as well. Going in the opposite direction, the GOL could be the first .338 Lapua rifle. Though it would probably have to have a fixed 7x scope to prevent players from using it at close range.
The workshop has seen a flurry of interesting weapons in the past few months. I would love to see these new weapons on Sernix. Due to the nature of modding, I know some of these might be impossible or be unable to incorporate my suggested features. At the very least, I think these particular weapons could fill a unique role and add even more diversity.

MK46 – The new drum mags for auto rifleman has been a success IMO (minus the 50 rounders which will probably be dispersed into other classes). Taking the lighter version of RPK, the AKMS, and a 75 round drum turns the auto rifleman from a mostly static corner and corridor holder into a dynamic jack of all trades role. With that in mind, a lighter m249 with a 100 round belt and better non-bipod handling I feel would be a worthy addition.

MK48 – Since both the MK46 and MK48 really do look similar, I can suspend my disbelief in order to allow this as the first 7.62 NATO MG. I know some will say this would be over powered, but I think it can be balanced by heavily favoring the bipod (no option for foregrip) and making hip or shouldered shooting extremely difficult via recoil.

Draco-ish AK (regular or tactical) – I could not find a true shortened AKM on the workshop, but I believe a stockless version could work as a secondary. It would be unique as a hard hitting but super heavy recoiling backup gun.

Kriss Vector – 25 rounds of .45 ACP at 1100 RPM? Yes please. I imagine this secondary smg as a combination of the fire rate like the Famas and an unusual recoil pattern like the AK12.

MK18-like Secondary (one, two, three) - I’m not suggesting all of these, just one. I would like to see a 30 round 5.56 secondary as there is currently only the 20 round AC556. Kind of a gap filler between the AC556 and MK18. I would suggest a mass of around 25 HG so as not to steal the G36C’s thunder (then again it really wouldn’t as a secondary anyway).

M72 LAW - A lighter weight option for the discerning AT rifleman. Suggested stats: 75% the mass of AT4 (54 HG), almost the same penetration as AT4, but a smaller explosion radius than RPG. If that is not enough to balance its extreme light weight, accuracy averaged between AT4 and RPG should be sufficient.

L85A2 – I don’t know if this is doable, but the role I envision for this gun is an M4 clone that can mount a GL but no drum mags. Reason being, I think there should be a class which has the option for drum mags and GLs, just not on the same gun. Example, point rifleman could have M4A1 with drum or L85A2 with a GL but not vice versa.

40 MM Buckshot[en.wikipedia.org] – I know this is way out there. Imagine, if you will, 3 enemy soldiers rushing your position side-by-side and your primary weapon is empty. They are too close for the distance sensitive HE, but no person can wear enough armor to stop all 20+ pellets of this round. Seriously though, I need this in my life as an alternate ammo type for GL. No game has done it yet. Pretty please?:steamhappy:

I know adding any of these weapons isn’t just a copy and paste, one minute job. Daimyo would have to spend some time on adding any of these weapons which would take time away from other additions he is currently working on. Hell, him just perusing this list and replying with a possible/impossible/”OMFG NO” would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, let me know your guy’s thoughts on the viability or possible stats of any of the weapons in my list. Or reply with your own weapon suggestions from the workshop, the workshop is updated with new stuff almost every day.

Well I noticed the Donors on the server. If ppl are willing to donate they must play a lot here so why not take the top 18 donors if there are that many and give them each a fav load out of each class. I would assume they would be good having played here a lot. :steamhappy: I am not a donor yet but seriously considering it.
Have to be careful here, we donors spend so much time on the server that our loadouts would be confusing for newer players. For example, I run a KSG and TOZ combo (tactical buck) with 3 explosive slots (C4, molo, molo) and max armor. A strictly close range build, it requires fire discipline, getting close to the enemy, and map knowledge. A noob trying to use this loadout will see it is close range, die repeatedly by getting too close and get no kills or back away and get no kills.

So if there were to be a vote or suggestions for loadouts, we would have to keep in mind they should lean toward noob friendliness while also being a good base loadout that requires minimal messing with so you can hop right into the action (instead of being killed in spawn). My suggested loadout would be max armor, helmet, ammo rig 2, Scar H (foregrip, hvy barrel, 2x sight, extended mag, AP), MP7 (holo, silencer, AP) and frag grenade. That build is moderate in weight and a good jack of all trades.

Edit: Also, I think most loadouts should contain max armor with helmet, frag, and ammo rig 2. I see far too many noobs who run out of ammo by picking the wrong ammo rig, throw fire in terrible spots, or die because they forgot a helmet or armor. As a player gains more experience he can decide for himself to trade ammo or armor for speed, but for noobs, just max it out.
